Top Gear is back!
i believe the way that they tape is they figure out what shoots they want to do during the offseason, then editing and just playing live while adding the news and all during the season. its not filmed during the week or whichever. If BBC owns that airstrip they use (with that random 747 sitting in the back) then i cant imagine that makes the episode budget go up too much. but when it comes down to it, isnt it like the highest rated global weekly show?

yeah, that was incredible. They really do a good job of getting you excited with that video on the track, really give you a sense of the speed. LOL @ stepping out while still doing 70.
I loved the scene at the museum, very funny.
Now when are they gonna get the Veyron on the track? And uhh.... GT500?

Oh man Episode 3 was hilarious and scarry and fun...I think most of alabama will hate this episode though..and nhey they were in Micanopy/gainesville too man wish i could have seen them....Oh did i mention its a road trip through america
Episode Number: 77 | Season Num: 9 | First Aired: Sunday February 11, 2007 | Prod Code: n/a
Desc: In this 'American special', Jeremy, James and Richard are on a fly-drive holiday with a difference. Instead of hiring a car, each has to buy a car for no more than $1000. Starting from Miami, they set out on an 800-mile road trip to New Orleans via Alabama - where they find time to annoy the locals - and Mississippi. As usual, there will be some Top Gear challenges along the way; a meeting with Stig's hillbilly cousin and a lesson in cooking roadkill.
Weekly. But it's a much shorter season than typical American hour-long shows do. I think Top Gear only does something like 8 or 9 episodes per year.
You can tell that each episode takes quite a while. The photography and shots are quite intricate and all cinema quality. I wouldn't be surprised if it took each hour-long episode two or three weeks to film the segments (not counting the in-studio time).

if i really watched that clip?
or if the clip is real?
if you watch the full episode.. its hilarious. in the end they try to do something charitable. but apparently it backfires
and after that the ending credits, they change everyones name to "billy bob" and then the last name of the actual person. i love that show.
to be quite honest, that part of the country is probably the ONLY area (that i can think of) that would treat them the way they did. if they had come to the midatlantic area i wouldnt be surprised if some people just saiud "hey its the top gear gang"

there is an EXTREMELY good chance that the laws are different in the UK
Well, I can guarantee you that much of it is staged. Take the cow on the roof of Clarkson's Camahro, for example. How did they cut and quarter that thing, never mind cook and eat it? Either way, you never saw any of that happen. Staged.
Also, they bought their cars. But how and where did they insure them?
Lots of things go on in these episodes that are quite improbable...and left unexplained, which is a dead giveaway of a set up.
Now, as to the good folks in the gas station. That COULD have been real.
