i had a 2010 camaro and the blind spot really wasnt that bad but trying to see where youre backing up is nearly impossible. i almost backed into a full sized truck and never saw it till i pulled away.

Talking Just My opinion

Having just traded in a 2001 C5 for a 2013 Mustang I gotta point out that these are two very different types of cars. I bought the Mustang because it is for me just as much fun to drive, lower cost of maintenance, and its new. Fact is I seem to get more compliments on the Mustang than I did with the Vette. Don't get me wrong the Corvette is an awesome car, just high maintenance. Ex. set of four runflats cost about $2000.00. Had to replace a wheel sensor, which on the Vette is part of the wheel, $800.00.

Many Corvette enthusiasts feel the C5 is the last "traditional" Corvette due to the smooth contours and pop up headlights. Problem with Corvettes is that GM stops supporting them, which means some critical parts are not available. Parts like the Body Control Modules, Steering wheel centering switch.

I can't say that I like the new C7 style, but I'm guessing it would grow on me if I should ever be able to afford one !

Yea. It says people like to pay for a name The new Vette looks decent minus from the rear. Both this and the current Vette look good because they are essentially Viper copies. Chevy waits a year or so after a new Viper is revealed, makes it pointy because supposedly people "like modern pointy crap" and there you go. I love both Vipers and Corvettes, but I feel GM is totally uninspired in their designs and have been for a while. The Camaro is the most original looking car in their line-up and I'd still take a Mustang or a Challenger over one. Just my opinion.

True. I think the biggest break perhaps was between the C1 and C2, or the Stingray and what preceded it (I get mixed up on my C#s anymore).

While I understand and agree with seriously modernizing the Vettes styling, I still think I would have retained the B-Pillar and glass back idiom that has been there since 1963. I think it is one of the best aspects of the Vette's stylistic DNA and most distinctive and one that should have been retained, albeit in a very modernized form. The new greenhouse design treatment, while not at all ugly, per se, is very generic and not particularly distinctive -- basically a universal 2000-teens sports car greenhouse.

I would have hoped the Vette would have taken on an even tighter, trimmer look ala the '63 Vette, especially in the rear end which is now somehow both bulbous and blocky -- it just seems to convey mass and weight which seems antithetical to a sports car.

Probably just tack them on the bumper at the last minute like they did the Camaro.

Good question. The opening is full width at the rear then tapers to the rear window, whether the quarters go up, or remain in position, I have no idea.

Nope. I may keep the Boss as long as I had my '69 Cougar. Maybe longer, as I always regretted selling it.

jerking around with the rear view.
I saw on a forum that some had said they rear lights were fine just on the wrong sides so I swapped them and I have to agree with that assessment.
