GT, no. I love the GT and GT40 (I even love the MkIV) but part of it's special appeal is that it isn't something they've just been cranking out forever. It lives in a couple special places in time and then goes away until it's needed again.

Personally, I wish the Cobra had gone through a 911-like life between the 60s and today. But for any number of reasons that was not ever going to happen.

I'd be perfectly happy with a cobra battling the vette.

I showed my little sister the new vette and she made the comment how "Ford doesn't have anything like it." Then I watched the unveil on YouTube and seeing those smug little bastards celebrate got my blood a boilin!

Overall shape is nice, but the devil's in the details. In this case, the mismatching front and the overly busy rear end (especially with the Camaro lights and an even fatter-looking butt) takes the exterior straight to heck. Interior is umm... okay for a GM I guess.

Someone on jalopnik re-work the exhaust to "match" the rear angular design . . . I think it works. Though, perhaps a dual split angular exhaust outlet would look better. This kind of looks like a smile . .

I was thinking that same thing earlier. Perhaps on a z06 or zr1 model

and if that doesn't suit the GM styling committee, they can try this for even more aggressive rear end styling (found on NASIOC) :

That looks a lot better. I'm sure we'll see aftermarket systems doing something like that. Should make for an interesting sound too.

I also wonder how the rear would look if more of it was body color. Anybody care to do a little photoshop?
