The new Vette gives me hope that Ford will do the same with the Mustang. A more international design but keeping it's American flair and traditional design queues.

Overall I actually like it. But why did they use so many styling cues from the GTR? The interior is the worse part, followed by the rear tail light treatment.

I wasn't sure about the rear tail lights but quite like it now. As for a GT-R look for the roof line. That's one of the better aspects of the GT-R's design so I like it. I could actually see myself in a Vette.

The exterior hardpoints and basic lines are fine, if less changed from the C6 than Chevy would have you believe, its the details which turn me off. The vents are without exception ugly and haphazard, the taillights and fuax diffuser on the back are aggressively bad, and the side vent looks like its on the wrong vehicle.

The interior is a complete mess.

Looks a lot better in red than it does in GT-R gray haha. It's aggressive looking for sure, but it sure does feel like chevy's designers just hit 'copy-paste' on the design of a bunch of other cars.

For comparison's sake:

anybody know if the bit above the rear wheels is some sort of functional brake cooling duct or something or is it just a fiddly bit of plastic?

i am glad to see the base modle Stingray isn't getting that dopy z06 vent infront of the rear tires. I'm probably going to warm up to it. I hated the C6 when I first saw it but I love it now. This thing with the grand sport shark gills would look pretty cool. And it does look way better in red.

There's still a decent amount of differences between those

Don't want to hear anyone complain about the "diaper" on the '10-'12 anymore
