I have a buddy who's waiting on his. The thread over at camaro5 makes all our screaming about the track key last summer sound like nothing. What a bunch of crybabies. My buddy keeps pointing out how much better his ZL1 will be than my Boss, but I have to keep reminding him it's impossible to compare the Boss in my garage with the ZL1 in his imagination. I'm sure it'll be a great car if they ever ship them.

GM tried rushing the car out a bit too quickly.

Maybe it's because they realized the production model can't lap VIR as fast as the one they used in the video that did it in 2:52.xx seconds, and therefore need to make some last minute "alterations".

This is one of the tricks they pulled with the GT500KR, the GYSCG1's fitted to the KR had a much lower tire wear rating compared to the standard crappy supercar tires.

Man it would be real interesting to see what the UTQG ratings are on the ZL1's GYSCG2's. If the wear rating is alot lower than the standard replacement version you will know where the ZL1 gets alot of its handling prowess from.

There are a few exceptions, Honda comes to mind as I've seen their OE fitments on the accord last almost 90k with some generous highway driving. Which I suppose might have more to do with impressing people who read CR as opposed to readers checking out C&D or MT
