I've used Mother's with good results. Turtle Wax Liquid clay is ok as well.

I like Adams because it's huge, they all do the same basic thing, unless size matters!

I use the clay magic from autozone. I use it with a dishsoap and water mix. Then wash the car after and then hit it with some meguires wax.

I've always used Meguiar's products on all my vehicles.

I also use Meguiar's products on my car, but I have used Mother's once or twice. They really do the same thing...just make sure you use plenty of "lube".

I like the Mother's kit - twice as much clay, a nice box and a real nice polishing cloth!

Well in regards to that comment...I've bought a Meguiar's claybar kit that came with a single bar of clay, a bottle of quick detailer, and a small bottle of cleaner wax; however, yesterday I bought a Meguiar's claybar kit that came with 2 bars of clay, quick detailer, a small bottle of cleaner wax, a case for the clay, and a microfiber towel. So I guess it kinda depends on which kits your local store carries.

I bought the cheapest kit I could find, and I was amazed how well it did. I believe that it was TurtleWax brand. My point being: You don't need to go with Meguiars to get a great shine. The kit I got had a pre-clay wash to loosen up the particulates, a good wad of clay and a spray bottle full of detailing spray. I love how my car looks after a full wash, clay, and wax.

I'm also very curious as to how this didn't end up in Car Care.
