I like the sho. a nice black on black 2013 sitting at my dealer right now. If it was 46k it would of replaced my five hundred already.

I want a Falcon or even one of those aussie truck cars.

The new fusion is the 2014 falcon. I'd like to see a V8 fusion. I'll even settle for a ecoboost v6 in the fusion. Give it a little more aggressive meanness, drop the 3.5 ecoboost in, and lets roll!

Automatic trans will be fine. It's not a sports car.

The demand is bigger than you think. I really wish it would be a little bigger of a body but it will have to do for now. I would love to pack the family in this car and roll out. It's going to be a vehicle that will only compete with much more expensive cars. (BMW, Mercedes, Audi.) something American markets have been missing unless you God forbid consider Chrysler.
I would hope for something as good as your average new pick up. 16/22?

Just don't think this is going to sell

It should be better than the truck.

Ill buy it. Just depends if the wife likes it. It will be her ride. Her last vehicle was a 95 Impalla SS. The big body. She still says she misses it.

Who is estimating that? people just using the G8 GXP numbers.

I would hope GM could revise the engine management, gearing and aerodynamics from a 2009 model to do better than that.

Just what I've seen as estimates from car magazines. Not the most reliable but I find they're usually pretty **** close.

I would really hope it would be 17/26. But that may be asking too much from the 4000lb+ car.

I may have misspoken, they say it will be similar. I'm assuming with the kinetic style. There seems to be a lot of secrets with the 2014 falcon. They also talk of a future global platform.

I also read that the Aussies may lose their RWD falcon. Also There is speculation that they may share the mustang platform in 2016.

Really disappointed in the fact that there is no manual option. Chevy really missed the mark here and this leaves room for ford to take over the niche market with a rwd v8 sedan that is in between size of the fusion and Taurus, right around the 30k mark starting.

Thanks for the link.

I really hope the Falcon gets to share the '15 Mustang platform, along with a Lincoln sedan/coupe. The world needs more RWD muscle saloons

I agree with the above statement. Sadly, needs and wants are two different things and so far it seems Ford has seen no need for a V8 RWD sedan for the US and perhaps the rest of the world in the future.
It would be nice if the Falcon continues on using a Mustang-derived RWD platform along with Lincoln. Bonus points if a Ford variant using same chassis is sold in the US even if it were a SVT-only offering (the tried and true "poor man's BMW M" formula).

A semi related topic. Why must a new SVO be a turbo 4? Why not a turbo 6? Like the falcon xr6s. The SVO in the mid 80s had more HP than the 5.0 GTs. I'm pretty confident that the 3.5 ecoboost can reach 450-475hp.

Why would you want a manual in a big 4dr car? If the paddle shifters work ok, why the hell would you want to clutch a car like this? It's not a sports car. It's a powerful rwd sedan. There's no way in hell I would buy a manual sedan. It just seems stupid to me.

Out of place in a sedan.

Still think this looks better. At least it has a little character to it.

This is just so boring:

I Disagree!

I think a manual should be had in every car! A nice sport sedan with a proper manual is

I don't see how 2 less doors somehow makes a manual different. You don't notice how many doors you have when you are properly hitting your shifts and rev matching downshifts.
