That's kinda what I was saying....... take this opportunity to forge the bottom end and boost it! If you want to go the short block route, get an Aluminator built for boost by Ford!

Since its 4.6 main size, does it still take 4.6 parts or 5.0 parts then?

Or this....If you really are going to keep the car and want to use your Vortec then get a totally assembled short block. I like the Ford Aluminator because it is lighter. Here is an engine that cost more but is capable of way more horsepower from a very reliable source and it's stroked to 298CI.

My youngest daughter was at work yesterday and was called to the front desk. Santa was standing there and ask if her name was Rebecca Keaton. She answer yes and was handed an envelope. The Santa turned and left before she could open it open. Inside was a Treasuer Check for $500. A Treasuer check is a untraceable check draw on the Banks direct assets and is as good as gold. We don't know who sent this check or who to thank. Becky is my daughter who has cancer and when though 9 weeks of Chemo last year. She is in remission right now and all her test have come back lookin good.
