I started installing my mirror today, got the sensor mounted and started routing the wiring for it, and mounted the mirror. I also ran the power wiring for it, just need to hook it up. I will finish that up on Tuesday most likely. I'll be busy helping to clean the house tomorrow.

Good luck. Good to see you didn't break the windshield!
Heading to the drive in movie theater to see Iron Man, looks like a killer movie.
Good night for a drive in too, weather wise and no mosquitoes yet.
Also Ruins is playing, if I can stay up for it after Iron Man

Yeah, no kidding. I was happy when the mirror came right off so easily. I was very careful and had no trouble.

Scott

Hey John,
I haven't been to a drive in about 25 years. I don't want to tell you what was on my mine the last time I was at a drive in. P.S. I can't remember what the movie was.

Ok in all seriousness though, the mirror does seem like a good mod. I had thought about it, but couldn't pull the trigger.

I think the easiest way to explain is with a picture. I edited the photo with a few arrows to show where to pry with a thin flat blade screwdriver. Do this very carefully though. It may be necessary to pry on the other side of this piece as well.

Thanks Justin. But I have to admit being a little confused still. I have had people tell me there is a spring clip up it the back of the mirror that needs to be compressed than the mirror slides up and off. And than their is post 36 in this thread http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...=467316&page=2 which would seem to suggest something similar. In your picture it looks like you are prying a cover of sorts. I have never really taken a good look at the mirror yet. So is there a spring clip up in there? I am still trying to hook up with the UPS guy since he needs a signature. Missed him again today.

OK Looking to do something with my side view mirrors. I have scene people around here who have sanding their stock mirrors and painted them. Most don't match and look terrible. So here are some of the options I found.
