I'm going to be taking my baby to the National Trails dragstrip this Fri. night. 1st time in my life I've ever taken a car down the 1/4M. It's a $10.00 fee for the night, I figured, have to try at least once. I'll have to practice those on-ramp runs a bit this week! LOL

Come on over Tom. The Dragstrip is 1 hour east of Columbus Ohio. I get off at 3pm and could make it 2pm if you wish. My best guess is you would have a 3/12 hour drive each way. I'll go if you go!!!!!!!!! Let's go support Larry!!!!!

Columbus is a solid 2.5 hours from me (went there last September for....(drum roll)..... a Tool concert.

I'd love to go but I wouldn't be able to get off work much before 4pm, I'd have both kids with me (5,8) and would have to get them some kind of supper so likely it would be pretty late before I got there. Sorry guys, I'll have to pass.

On a related note, the track in Muncie, Indiana is having a private rental all day on Wednesday October 10 which I will be taking the day off of work entirely, and meeting the guys from Brenspeed there! A group of dudes I know rent the track in the spring and fall.... last spring, Brent had 2 or 3 shop cars plus about 4 other customer cars there with him, including a GT500!

Tom,
It's the National Trails Raceway;
http://www.nationaltrailraceway.com/
Coworker talked me into it,he's got a 99 Cobra.
I've never done this before & am a bit hesitant, but figure I should try at least once. I'll try not to embarrass myself or fellow Mustang owners too bad! I'm sure if I run against him, he'll trounce me pretty good, he's got about 75HP over me. Should be fun anyway.

Your last sentence is what it's all about.... just have fun! Take your helmet too, you'll need it.

Hey come on up Ben! If no rain, we'll start at around 9:30am I believe; it usually lasts all the way until late afternoon. $40 I think is the cost, and you can run all day long as many times as you like.

I hope your talking to STD Scott! But that does seem like a good deal. Kind of a waste for a guy that will probably never hit the track. Wonder where in Ohio he is. I just got Doug's @ Bamachips latest automatic tune emailed to me about 1 hour ago. Now I have to figure out how to download it into my SCTX-CAL2 tuner tonight. I just came in the house to get some refreshment. I am pressure washing the bug poop off the house tonight. Us buckeyes know how to have a good time.!!

Well... my opinion is you ...( not sure about the wife) should fit in with the rednecks of the area. You could belch and fart with the best of them. What are you going to do?? Round up the sheep for a local farmer or pick too-baccy? BTW, You would have to sell the stang because that is strickley Pickup truck territory!!!!! But if that is what works the best for you guys go for it!!!!! I wish you the best of luck. I am pretty sure she is the smart one of the family!!!!

That's funny, I just completed my latest and greatest install concerning the car moments ago...... look around hard enough, you may find it on the forum. And yes, I was talking to you regarding the converter; even though you may not hit the track, it shouldn't affect your day-to-day driveability. But, anywho, I was just thinking maybe you'd be interested, that's all.

Merryville? That's right between Hicksville and Hooterville isn't it? Just kidding, I have no idea... I've had no reason to leave what is truly the epicenter of social hierarchy: Decatur, Indiana. That's right, a place where if you know someone, you may go somewhere.... Good luck either way, maybe by the 20th you'll know what you're going to do. You had still better show up for our gathering, meathead.

Don't know exaclty where that is in TN, but 20 miles south of Knoxville would be beautiful country. Just look out for freaky eyed banjo players.

Tom, I found it, looks great.
