We have been married 32 years and she is still the most native person I know.
Gulliable as hell!! But I love her to death. Ohh! She said she could throw a mudpie at you is she had too!! She is not afraid to get her hands dirty! I told her I didn't think that would be necessary. Right? Scott
I for one am glad you are okay. I told my wife about your mud wrestling plan and boy if looks could kill!!!

Actually I had to drop the car off on Sunday (after hours) and have to pick it up tonight (after hours) so I really haven't had a chance to talk to them. But, as of now (weather-pending) we plan to meet at Muncie dragstrip tomorrow so I should be able to find out then.
BTW, they said my car runs great...... ~450 hp at the tires, and ~415 tq: due to a tweaked tune and a fresh set of re-gapped plugs.
I hope to find out tonight, and be at the strip tomorrow!
Oh and my Autometer boost gauge is off...... it was reading a peak boost of around 9psi but actually it should be reading 11. This is with the 3.33 pulley; if you want to hear about some crazy numbers, ask me what happened when they ran it with a 2.6 pulley!

My guess is it must have scared you to death or you would still be running it.
Did it get to 500? Post your times at the track when you get back. Was Ben going to be able to make it?
Hey Ben, you plan on coming up to Muncie tomorrow?
And Larry, did you go to the strip last Friday???
Tom,
Nope, no strip for me
Seems Friday nights there is a helmet requirement & I don't have one. I was glad I called & checked before I drove out there. My friend from work also couldn't go as he was ferrying helis from OH-MI-IN-OH & I wasn't too inclined to go by myself anyway. Another time. I could probably use a few more performance add-ons anyway. Those LT's may not wait 'til warranty is done. I've got to keep mine reasonable as I put about 50m/day on it & realiablity is a key issue with me,headers are a pretty safe mod.

Mine will be out of warranty in March of 08. So I am really looking at a set of Comp Cams as my next performance mod. I don't know how handy you are with a wrench but I believe I can do this mod. After all I had to rebuild my 96 Cobra after I blew it up at the track in 99 and it had 4 cams. Here's the numbers as I see it. Longtubes are worth about 15-20 hp. A good set will set you back $1,500 easy. Half of that is gained by just removing the cats. Even Brent at Brenspeed told me that in May. So get an offroad H or X pipe and gain 10 hp for $200 . Go with cams and gain another 30-40 hp for another $1000.00. Don W. posted somewhere this last week that Adam of ST Motorsports just posted of 700 rwhp running thru the stock exhaust manifolds. They must flow pretty darn good for those numbers!! Even if you have to pay to have them installed you will still be money ahead for the hp gain. I have really done alot of research about them and longtubes are not really worth the bucks in my opinion for the gains you get. Think about it.

Scott,
I'll need to get a first hand look see & hear with your O/R. I've heard stories about the fuel odor w/o the cats. I've got a bunch of questions for you guys who have more performance mods done.
Agree about the header, but I probably wouldn't spend much more than 500 or so on headers anyway.
The cams are getting interesting, will have to do more digging into those. And my poor hands tell the story about working with wrenches,30+years,still do a little bit these days, just not everyday anymore though. I'm sure installing the cams are doable for me as long as I had the right special tools needed. I'd be glad to offer you a hand if you do your install yourself. We'll have to ask Brent if he'll do a multiple buy discount!

And Tom
Maybe we can get a better price with 3 sets of cams!!!!
Oh, if you guys want me to organize a "CAMSTOCK" event just let me know!
Guys, I'll try to remember to ask Brent about the STANGSTOCK event tomorrow for sure!
The National Trails is a NHRA track & their restriction was 13.99 or faster required a Snell approved helmet.
I did find one I can borrow, so I might still make it this year, but no biggie for me if it's next spring. My first time on the 1/4, so I'd probably be doing good to break into the 14's
Well being as it was about 50 degrees and super windy, my day at the track kinda sucked LOL. The track never really heated up, I'm trying to run on old sh!tty BFG drag radials, and the car was running stronger than ever so traction was horrible. I ran just as fast on my Nitto street tires as I did with the DRs. I could not get below 12.8 but my trap speeds were very good- 118 to 118.5 MPH! If I could hook, I should be able to break into the high 11s with that trap speed and power but I just could't keep from breaking the tires loose in 1st, 2nd, and sometimes even into 3rd. Plus because of the lack of traction, I wasn't even trying to powershift, I knew I'd end up completely sideways if I did.
Regardless, except for one pass where the intercooler pipe clamp came off at the end of the run (thus making the car sputter and die) the car ran awesome and flawlessly. When that clamp came off, I thought I blew my engine, I was just about ready to freak out. I finally got it restarted and pooched it back to the pits but man was it scary.
Brent brought a couple of cars, one of which was his Saleen-blown car; recently it has ran 11.3, and then 11.1 and Brent really wanted to get into the 10s. They upped the boost and installed longtube headers earlier this week, and Brent said he was hoping the car would hold together because it put down something ridiculous like 500/500 hp/tq on the dyno thru the auto trans!! They made one run..... and let me just say that they won't be bringing that car down to our meet & greet!
And after that Brent was unsure if they would be coming to Brown County because they're down to 1 shop car (2 are now injured) and their Dyno Day is the weekend after.
