Gears........feed us, we need to know....gears ?
#1182
Not much to tell yet. Traffic was so heavy going into downtown I did not get a chance to even really try them out. My XCal is doing something weird so I cannot change the gear ratio. Since it won't let me the gearing and rpms are off. I am going to play with it at lunch and see what I can do.
I did rev a bit on the way out and it about snapped my neck in half.
I am still waiting on my tunes. They need the strategy so they can send me the new ones.
Will write more when I am not so busy.

Heads up !!!
***Don't use that BA 104 octane gas
more details later about the monkey water
***Most of the bolts under our cars are one time torque use only,
Many are finding out that LCAs and etc are having problems when they reuse the factory bolts which most of the suppliers recommend, now Steeda is starting to furnish new bolts and nuts and even the Ford Racing Parts web site is telling folks to get new bolts and nuts. Most of them it turns out are one time torque only.

UP DATE on BA MONKEY WATER
Asked Kris and his dad at K & M what they knew or heard about the 104 octane BA gas,
They had used it several times in several of their different cars at the drags and had problems every time, to much water in it, did not feel it was really 104 octane, hesitation and fouling problems and etc. They talked with many guys at their shop and track who all had problems with the gas. Many said the tanks were as old as could be and always had water problems and etc. Anyway that was all I needed to hear, bottom line to many folks with to many problems.
What they now use along with apparently many others is :
Car and Fleet
4141 South 68th. East Ave.
743/9888
Made a run to check it out,
On the south side of 41st. between Memorial and Sheridan, closer to
Sheridan,
Nice guy,ok set up
101 Octane unleaded and 112 octane leaded,
keeps them in drums, located in an enclosed truck on the side of his
building,
Buys from the local Philips distributor..Philips brand gas
His deliveries from the distributor are every other Tuesday..fresh gas
Gave me the name of the distributor and said call him with any
questions,
Started out helping the Porsche crowd which needs 93 octane, then
came a few Lambos, Ferrari's and other 93 users, most blend with 91
octane,
Then came the racers and he got them 112 unleaded,
101 octane sells for $5.25
Any gas storage tanks that do not meet the newer 10 year old regs are ripe for water related problems and I can assure you those 104 tanks are old.
Sounds like the only game in town compared to the 104 BA Monkey Water.

Any body that has used that gas needs to immediately disassemble their fuel systems and clean them out, then coat everything with STP oil treatment and then spray coat with WD 40, the gas tanks then need to be filled with half sand and shaken for 20 minutes to dissolve and absorbed the water, sewage, storm water, rust scales and etc. That needs to be done 3 times.
Good luck.
Good luck.

BTW, Benji didn't need the install kit for my gears. I will be getting my $80 back soon.:-)

Good info Bob! Thansk for sharing and checking it out1 I've never had problems, but like to be safe...
So he has the stuff in drums? Kind of a hassle. Will he fill right in the car or do you have to take a gas can with you?
You know the guy in BA has race gas in 5 gallon mini-drums. Sealed from the manf. I thought about buying one and just keeping it in the garage. Not sure what he wants for them...

I only used the gas once. I am not going to drain, etc.

Just pull up to the truck and he pumps to your gas tank.
#1198
That's cool. Did you happen to catch his hours of opperation? A lot of times we just stop by on the way to the track. Most of the time it's after 6pm.
They also have race gas at the track... But I like driving around for a few miles to mix everything up.

Got my tunes. Now I just need to get them on the xcal. Will have to do that tonight.
The reason it took so long is because Brent's wife had a baby and he has been in and out since the birth.
