Oh ya! We'll I just installed a twin turbo setup and 3 blowers, narrowed the rearend and tubbed the wheel wells, Installed the roll bar, installed a 15 stage N2O setup( a bottle for each stage) and topped off the wiper fluid. All within 20mins. How's that?
Seriously.. I wonder how daily driving going to be. I keep thinking about my Lightning. I love the sound, but after driving for a while it starts getting a annouying.
Chris is a pretty good guy. I've had some problems with him in the past. Not personnaly mind you. He welded a brace for the exhaust on the Lightning 2 two times. Each time after 2 months it broke. I ended up fixing it myself.

Well it's been awhile since I used him for anything. I used him to install a few sets of mufflers and some subframe connectors in the past. It's probably been at least 5 years. Had no problems though.... I wonder if you just had a bad experience or does he suck? Now you got me all concerned.....Man I wish this Benji fellow could be more available.

So far the noise hasn't been that unbearable. With the radio on I can't even hear the exhaust unless I Goose it. At cruise RPM and at idle you can't tell a difference in the cockpit.

He's done work for me before. I had flows put on my 96 Cobra by him. No problems. But the welds were pretty sloppy... IMO.
Gears just have to be right. I'll pay extra if I know they're installed correctly. It's just something I don't want to go cheap on.Ya know?

Sorry... It's Automotive Specialist.
I called them and chatted for a while. Their base price for the swap comes in at $295. That is labor only. So you supply the gears, install kit and lube. They do have the lube there if needed. Thay only use Syn with a friction modifier.
I'm going to call them back this afternoon and give them time to put together a group install price.
The guy has been doing these for over 30 years and is one of the only people in BA that will do gears. He explained the whole process and from that, I could tell he knew his poo. He sounds pretty picky as to how it's done. Which is GOOD!
He said he could probably do 2 swap per day as long as there is no complications.
Let me know what you think. I'll update you with the group rate as soon as I get it....

They said if you get your car to them within 5 mins... They'll have them installed before noon! Or did you already install them...

Just got off the phone with Bob... Seems he took time out of his busy schedule to go talk directly to Benji... way to step up Bob!
He seemed pretty impressed with this cat.... Benji will do it for $200 a piece. He also said given the fact that our cars are not that old, he may not need to use the entire install kit (if at all). I'm going to order my gears and just scrub extra install parts off Mr. Bob. Once again... Way to step up Bob!
We need to develop a schedule.... Benji will do this after normal working hours at BHF. I suggest this; Bob first, Jeff second, Me third, and David last...just to teach him the meaning of patience. Actually I really don't care what order. What do you think?

Benji is definitely the one we want to put in our gears and he will do it after work at the dealers clean, well equipped and safe dealership,
We then will pick them up in the morning,
The phone # Paul posted is Benjis cell phone,
He would prefer Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,
Told him we are all lubrication experts and would all provide Royal Purple,
He may not need everyone to have an install kit, if he does not need them for my car he will pass it to the next car, Paul don't buy one because the rest of us did,
$200.00 cash,
I think David is going for next Tuesday and if so I will go for Wednesday..Jeff could go for Thursday or wait next week and schedule a one two with Paul.
Don't **** this guy off, he is good and we may need him again down the road.

I still need to rework the calendar on our web site and add some more pictures, etc.,
Everyone needs to spend a little time on it and I think then we are ready to run on it,
** Next club step for us is to come up with cards that list the web site and the club email address,
** Small flyer's on club info to hand out,
** Posters on the club to place at auto parts stores, other dealers and etc.,
We need with spring fast approaching to build up the membership before we do anything else.
OK, tell me what you think for the cards, flyer's and posters ?
