the seat of my new 06 Tungsten GT.

I traded my 05 Satin gt for an 06 Tungsten today. I hated the noisy notchy POS Manual Transmission in the 05. So I went looking for Tungsten 06 with an Automatic. Found one and the Ford Dealer gave me a good deal on my 05 Trade so I did it...

Anyway as I was placing my custom mats in the new ride I had to move the drivers seat all the way up to place the rear mat in. Low and behold what do I find?
A CRACK PIPE!!! No kidding people I kid you not. It was a glass pipe and had been used. There was resin in the pipe.

So this is a brand new car off the lot. It had 5 miles on it. So either some wastoid crack smoker test drove the car and got pulled over then ditched the pipe on a test drive. Or, the cleaning guy at the dealer is a crackhead!

What realy freaks me out is perhaps it was left over from a factory worker!!!!
Hahaha

Anyway I crushed the pipe and threw it in the garbage. Should I tell the dealer what I found?

what if it was the dealer

Howdy.

In Southern AZ you would have been up the river without a paddle if you did not know about the pipe. We have Border Patrol Checkpoints where you stop on the highway to be checked for citizenship, etc. They have drug sniffing dogs on the line at times and you would have had one "helluva day" explaining the pipe. A few years ago a family went public because some idiot put small bags of pot inside their hubcaps while they were parked at the border for a fun day in Mexico. The family ended up spending a lot of time and money defending themselves. So someones "joke" was very costly. We have had little old grandmas busted with pounds of pot in the trunk because the drug sellers thought granny would get north with no problems! :bang:

Good luck with the car and I would talk to the "dealer" about your pipe.

Jeff

Had I been pulled over ,I would have told the cops to dust it for fingerprints and had them match it with someone at the dealer.they could also do a urine search or blood sample to clear you, that is unless you smoke weed anyways or crack

You titled this topic correctly. I never would have guessed that. It would have taken me a while to figure out what it was. I'm guessing it fell out of someones pocket while the car was being handled during transport. Maybe at the railyard.

I'm still stuck on why the 5 speed was traded for an auto. Once I get passed that, I'll think about the crack prep job. I mean crack pipe.

Did you disconnect the battery when you removed the crack pipe? Did you notice any difference?

Will the crack pipe work with manual transmissions as well as the automatic?
Maybe Ford spent the money that was to go for the TPMS system in the 06 on complementary crack pipes for buyers?

Take it back to the dealer, the car dealer, and have them bring in the cops with their dog and go over the whole car to make sure there are no more surprises.
No way a dirty police dog is climbing through my nice new car. Toss your car real good and quit being paranoid about anything else in your car... some moron at the dealership lost his pipe while detailing your car.

What are you going to do if the dog alerts on the dash board or kick panel? You going to let them disassemble you nice new car? I search cars everyday at work... I wouldn't want anyone violating my car like I do to others.

Oh yeah... why an auto? Half the fun in having a pony car/muscle car is having the control over the car that a stick grants you.

I feel jipped. I didnt get a free pipe with mine!

My opinion, kind of pointless to tell them since you threw it away.

O.K. Here's a pop quiz regarding items found in cars.
In Orlando FL, the tourist business is huge and so are the rental car companies. Now, can you guess what is the most often found item in returned rental cars?

The answer tomorrow, but take a shot at a guess.
