What mileage are you getting?

My 06 V6 has 5500 miles and I just finished a 2700 mile cross country trek with several tanks at the 25 to 27 mpg mark, those being interstate hiway on cruise control. I`m still looking for 30mpg after break-in.

I have 21,000 miles on mile and I can get 29 MPG tops on the highway. That's driving @60MPH though. Try switching to Mobil 1 5w20 and use good gas. I always get about .7-.8 MPG better on Shell gas.

Just turned 10K miles. Shell 93 octane. At 60 mph was getting 28 mpg and climbing but I had to change speeds before seeing just how high it would go. At 70 mph get 26.5 and at 75 mph get 25.5 mpg. This is with cruise control on. "Spirited" highway driving I avg about 22 mpg.
Went on a 400 mile trip to Columbus this weekend and got an average of 22.5 at 75-80 mph. Of course it didn't help that while we were up there, OSU had a game going on and we had to sit in game traffic for a little while before we could get out of there.

I'm getting about 23mpg with combined city/highway driving but the other day took a road trip from the Gulf Coast to Birmingham, AL. 300+ miles one way and in no real rush. Set the cruse control at 70, sat back and watched the average mpg climb. 24, 25, 26... 28, 29, 30, and finally 30.5mpg! Of course it's a V6 and I wasn't running the AC but I was amazed, the sticker says 27mpg highway. If I set it at 55.... ;-) 11,400mi on the clock.

I got almost exactly identical gas mileage as you! When gas hit to around 2.60, I freaked out and babied it as much as possible and never got it over 3,000 RPMs. When I filled up I got 24 mpg **edit: this was like 90% city driving**! I was SHOCKED! Then I went on a short 100-mile trip. I filled up before I left then I filled up again the second I got back and got 30 MPG. That was at a steady 60-65 MPH. However, I did have a nice 'spirited' sprint up to 100 mph because I was allllll alone on a big ole' highway so I decided to entertain myself! I have 6,500 miles on the awesome V6. I don't drive all that much ( maybe 100 miles a week ) so gas prices really haven't affected me all that much so I gave up that babying stuff and I'm cruisin around town like I just stole it ;-). Even with this aggressive driving, I get 19 MPG, which makes me extremely happy! Boy, I'm glad I didn't get the GT! **haha how many times have you heard that? Probably not ever!**
