They only have 91 gas here in california which i find strange, but maybe that helps in some strange way. I tuned my computer for 91 along with the steeda tune

Right around 2650-2700 RPM. I also have 295/45/18 Nitto 555's in the rear, so they effectively knock the 4.10's down to around 3.90 or so. Had I known that I'd be putting the 295/45/18's in the rear 6 months after the gears were put in, I'd have originally gone with 4.30's to maintain an effective 4.10 after the tire swap

I average 14 mpg. Almost all of my miles are in town, and I drive with OD off. I can live with that milage w/fun factor and regular fuel.

so what do you guys think? spend the extra few g's on the 300hp or save money and grab a v6er and save money in the long run?

I think anything would be an upgrade from my current Dodge Neon...poor thing only puts out 130hp.

I wouldn't mind the v6's but I hate the single pipe, no foglights and it seems like I would be missing out on the extra 90hp.
This all depends on how much you like cars. If you are a car enthusiust then i think you will be happier having a GT then having a V6 and saving a little bit money. I have no problem spending the extra money to hear and feel the V8.

I average 16 MPG but it's all city and congested South Florida.
I occasionally go to Orlando for Mustang stuff and events and get 25 MPG on highway, which is very good.

i used to do around 11-12mpg..
now i got the H.O Whipple on.. already 3 quarters a tank of premium gas is down, for 100miles only.

turns out i'm now down to 8.2mpg!
p.s: my tune is running way too rich (~10.5AFR) so that might explain it

Just got back from a 500M trip. Averaged 25.9 w/CC on @ 71/72mph.Got 23.9 running @ 75/80 on the way back.
I'm quite happy with that + 300+ HP to boot.
My average combined city/hwy is usually around 20.
Thats running 93 octane, not too much into the WOT, usually just the on ramps.

At the moment I'm averaging 23.9mpg in my v6 Mustang. The lowest I got was 16.3mpg with the very first tank of gas...the highest I acheived was 27.2mpg. I just got my Magnaflow dual exhaust put on last week and I think it's helping a little, definitely feel it powerwise. I probably would be in the 21 - 22 mpg range during daytime (without the exhaust upgrade), traffic driving...but now I'm near 24mpg. I usually average mid 20s whenever I drive (especially at night with less traffic). I can't wait to see how much that will improve whenever I get around to adding a tuner and CAI.
