Its comes standard with the passive system.
I went with the active alarm. I think it helps my insurance rates, didn't ask for a quote without the alarm to be sure.

Whats the passive? Is that the one that just "honks" and is not really an anti-theft system?

How easy would it be for a "thief" to get a replacement igintion or a key to match the ignition? Does the Dealer require anything to show proof of who the owner of the car is?
Maybe a silly question, but curiuos...

GiddyUp, I have no doubt its a good alarm... I really think its personal preference. Hubby and I discussed it at the time of the order, and decided to go aftermarket.

I gave my key to an employee and he took it to the dealership and brought me back a duplicate. I programmed it to start the car, but it would have easily opened the car door.
