I wouldn't mind a remote start... Non-heated leather seats would add to that, especially in the winter months(where it's cold, anyway). Only problem is it's a pain to use on manual trannys.

is it even legal to put on manual's???
No, it is not against the law. However it is impossible for a remote start to push in the clutch, so that would require a mod of that part of the car. That is illegal, because it is a federal safety standard that you need to have a safety on the clutch, so that it needs to be depressed for the car to start. [/b][/quote]
so...it is illegal??

I have a remote start in my 2001 Mustang GT and yes it is a manual.
Bought the car brand new in December of 2000 and put the remote
start on in January of 2001. I have never had a problem with it. It is
nice to get into a nice cool car in the middle of Summer here in Texas.
It will not hurt your car as long as it is set properly.

If you want one then get one.

You can heat cloth seats. The Focus has the option and volvo has had it for years.

Yea i have one on my pick up truck but a lot of places probably won't sell you one for a manual car because of the fact that it could be put into gear and drive itself

i was told by a shop that they just disable the clutch safety switch. They than wire it so can only be remote started in neutral. True it can be started with the key without pressing the clutchbut the alarm/remote start will not start it unless it is in neutral. via a neutral safety switch. Thats what was told to. So if that could be done than I would go for it.

true story my friend has 99 cobra and he disabled the clutch safety switch but NOT wired into the neutral safelty switch and he accidently started it and ruined front saleen ground effects and saleen chrome rim.
