ouch. sorry to hear that man

as i mentioned in another thread. Autolite has a improved the plugs for our engines with HSS.
"High-Strength Steel (HSS) Technology helps prevent separation of shell and ground shield."

champion plugs are total crap. i wouldn't run one in my lawn mower.

Been running Champions in my '06 GT now for nearly 45,000 miles without a single issue.

I agree with you regarding Champion Plugs and I wouldn't run them in my lawn mower even if they were free! Same goes for Pennzoil!

Bob

After having 6 of 8 plugs break (1 by me, 5 by the dealer) off after only 40,000 miles, I feel the same way about the 2 piece plugs. My Champions are doing just fine.

Oh I agree that the stock plugs suck, but I have seen and read about many problems with Champion. I would use the stock plugs with some properly placed antiseize over the Champions, besides they should last 100,000 miles and I never keep a car that long anyway. I hope your Champions cause you no problems.

My Champions have been doing a great job for 46,000 miles now. Zero issues.
I tend to keep cars a very long time. Hell, I still have the '85 GT I bought new. My wife is has been driving a '90 Miata for almost 187,000 miles.
