Well I finally got my VIN #. Of course I had to go to the dealer myself and chase them for it. ETA is week of 11/5..... so they say.

 

I purchased my '08 Escape from that same exact dealer earlier this summer. I recognize the Shelby and if you look at it close enough, you can probably find my drool on it.

I had a good experience there on the first Escape I bought and went back to the same exact guy to get the second one. I believe it's just the luck of the draw at dealers. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Lots of the sales guys are jerks but the guy I worked with was good. Straight talk, no BS. I told him the deal I wanted and he did it.

Glad it worked out for you at another place though.

Jeff - Took a trip into PA this weekend and was going to swing by on the way home Sunday if you were there / open.

Talked to the GM.. after him & the salesman apologized a bunch they offered me alittle incentive to wait.. so I bit and am now waiting till the 30th.

 

No worries dude. Can't wait to see you get the car. Once you do, you'll have to join up with the local PA/NJ group of BadMustangsClub, and hang out at some shows.

 

I can feel your pain! I ordered mine in May of 06 and did not get it till the first of Sept! 06 But all is fine now.

 

Niiiiiiiiice. Whereabouts do you guys hang out, shows? Maybe I can get my buddy to join, he's got an 06 silver GT.

 

We do ALOT of car shows. Basically, we pick out ones that are "new car friendly", set up a time to meet up, and roll in together. Just last week, I was in Moorestown with about 8 other new Mustangs, and Sunday I was on the Willow Grove Air Base for a Support the Troops show. Lots of fun. We got 35 Mustangs to go to that show, out of 80 cars total. When you get your ride, send me a PM, with a number and I'll fill you in on everything you need to know.

 

This may be a stupid question, but I just want to cover all grounds. When I ordered my 08 a couple months ago, I had my X-Plan price on my VOC. My original salesman is no longer with the dealer. When I go to get my car, I shouldn't expect any "surprise" in the price right? Like some BS markup or whatever. It should be the "Balance due on delivery price" from the sheet my old salesman and I both signed?

 

As long as the X-Plan price is listed on the buyers order and its signed by both you and the manager, there can't be any suprises. I can't imagine they would balk at selling it X-Plan, considering how slow its been.

Jason you're lucky, we're both in Jersey, and you ordered yours after mine and got it before mine ha. I wonder how they work that out at the plant, doesn't seem like they have a protocol or what not..

I'm glad that I didn't order from that certain dealership in Old Bridge that you did,,, Almost 2 months just for an allotment!!! I'd be ****ED.

As for me, I figure that I'll have mine in 2-3 more weeks. I'm not even anxious anymore. It's just more time to save up for some mods.

 

I ordered mine from a DE dealership. Though, as you can read from the past posts in this thread, I would not recommend them.

 

My lil pony has been born! Yes his/her (havent decided) bday is 10/29/07. I'm so excited, maybe for a gift I'll get it a CAI!
