Serious Reservations, doom for the 05?

Was anyone else on here at the NY show that he claims he was at and noone was looking at the mustang? I've seen pictures from it's debut. And I don't recall seeing any pics that didn't have someone around the car. Or a reflecction of someone around the car. But hey maybe he was there at midnight.
But really what is the point of going to a forum about a car you don't like. I don't go to a honda forum to bash how little power they have. Why? Because that would be dumb. So going to a forum about a car and bashing it. Trying to gain sympathy for your cause. Is again dumb.

One test drive by an anon. person is not important. In fact, whether postive or negative, it is near worthless. The only test drive which matters is yours or people you know who have the same tastes as yourself. My current car is very, very old but also very, very fast. The majority of people would hate it due to its outmoded design-as are all classic Muscle Cars beloved by their owners. But there are a few folks who would "get it" as to why it is still an engaging drive. (Same with the old F-bodies, pre-2005 Mustangs, etc) I am buying a new Mustang because I believe it is a worthy successor to my 5.0. By the way the 2005 GTO is on the short list after a Mustang.
I believe we all can wait until the models we are interested in hit the showrooms to make intelligent forum posts.

I test drove the GTO, My mustang had better get out of the blocks, better road handling. Sounded better too. The sales guys were looking at my car while I was on the drive.

While I'm not about to buy a GTO, and am a Mustang enthusiast all the way (I have an '05 GT on order), I have to give prop's to the GTO in certain areas, even if it has bland styling, and is priced out of the Mustang GT's target segment.

Actually, the Thunderbird is being cancelled because dealers marked up the price so high that nobody wanted to buy them. Sure, they could have added more power, but when someone is trying to sell something to you for thousands more than it's worth, it's pretty easy to pass. :notnice:
And, the concept DOESN'T look exactly like the production version... well, actually, the production version looks MUCH, MUCH better!

the antiquated rear axle. lackluster/homely front and rear fascia, and more.............the ONLY really competive component is the 300 HP engine, but hardly makes 'a car' .
Sorry brother, your mustang liscence has been revoked. You need to go hang out with those boys over at Z28.com or Z06.com or whereever those progressive chevy guys hang out.

What ever you buy you have to be happy with it ,after all its your paycheck sitting in the driveway and your the only one in the end that has to live with it so make sure its what you want because its going to be there for a while!! For me I did my research and from an enginering point the 05 will be a great car...all I need is a test drive to seal the deal and if its every thing it says it is this is where my paycheck is going!!
exactly like this. B)

B) Further Troll food facts:
Rread the MM&FF July issue (pp 60-68) for a Mach 1 ($29.8K) vs. the GTO ($33.2K) comp.
Initial indications are the 05 GT will be par/better than the current Mach 1 in style, attitude and getty-up.
True MM&FF is some what biased but most areas tested (except rear seats and interior mentioned) the Mach 1 edged out the GTO.
