Saying goodbye to my Stang
Saying goodbye to my Stang
Well, it's unfortunate -- she's been in a great car, but in the next few months I will be parting ways from my Mustang. My new job simply requires me to have a very reliable 4x4, and I would never subject my baby to the conditions I will be having to drive in. I will also likely not be staying in the Ford family -- I test drove a Nissan Frontier 4x4 6 speed manual, and the thing is pretty solid and I will likely be going that route. I don't need a full size truck, just need a solid 4x4 really and would prefer a truck for the ease of throwing junk in the back. Well, it's been a good run folks, have fun with your babies.
Sorry to hear that. Personally, I'd go the Tacoma 4x4 route.
But then again, I'm partial to Toyotas!

What about a Ranger?... The Frontier is larger and more capable, has 59 more horsepower ( 207 for the Ranger, 265 for the Frontier ), gets better gas mileage, and has a 6 speed manual I can get in it. I looked at the Ranger, but it was just dismal compared to the Frontier.
