Aftermarket Stereo -- what else do i need?

I got tired of my sirius sat. radio hanging off the window, don't want a mount drilled into my dash (pro-fit bracket) and am tired of seeing wires everywhere.

I bought a Dual XDMR7710 stereo today with an xm sat. radio addon. This solves having one extra box connected with the wires, all I have to do is run the antenna and I'm done. The new one with ipod controls isn't out yet and don't know when.

My question is what else do I need for the install? (harness?)

Who makes a plastic dash din conversion mount that fits in place of the factory stereo?

Can I somehow rig up the shaker 1000 sub in the trunk to my new stereo?

I would have gotten what I really want (touch screen pop out dvd player) but can't justify 1000 dollars for it. Maybe down the road but not now.

I'm capable of installing it, but want the right tools/items for the job.

Any help anyone can give would be great. I don't see a specific audio section/forum to post this in.

thanks
jake

I know its kind of vague but if you check out http://www.crutchfield.com, EVERYTHING is there. That specific unit is on there too and you can input your car and it will tell you exactly what you need, even how-to guide. If you had bought that unit from them, they usually include the mounting kit for free.

cant answer the shaker 1000 question though. havent messed with a sub in my stang. (and probably never will because of the extra weight)

Your first mistake is buying Dual - I wouldn't even install Dual brand in a pinto.

Your second mistake was trading Sirius for XM. XM sucks.

Until I save up 1,000 dollars for the LCD touchscreen kenwood I want, this will do...

as for the pinto comment... wasnt the mustang based originally off the pinto platform? haha

sirius/xm.... music is music... i dont care who broadcasts it.... no commercials is the goal... no talking, just music...

i sold my sirius stock so i'm not worried about sirius.

how does xm suck may I ask?

I have XM as well and like it. Just not too sure about the Dual unit, though. The Kenwood sure will be a good upgrade when you can get it. Good Luck!
