I ordered a 2005 Black/Charcoal Premium GT 5 speed yesterday. The car has the IUP, 17" optional wheels, Active Anti-theft, and side air bags. I am hoping to get the car before the New Year, I cannot wait

Great choice Jason, exactly the car I have ordered.
I ordered on 9/21 and its being built on 11/22 (8 weeks) may be 2-3 more weeks for delivery. That is 10-11 weeks from order.
Hopefuly yours will be quicker as the production rate is picking up, also your dealer might have better allocation.

My salesman couldn't give me a firm date yet, I guess it has to be ordered first. I was told by another dealer it should be 6-8 weeks, but mine said it could be here as early as 8-10 weeks. My salesman said he would call me with further information....

 

Yea I fell in love with the Black/Black combo. I plan on getting the windows tinted real quick. I think my wallet is going to get real thin with this car, I already want an x-pipe, magnaflows, eibach springs, steeda sways, etc

Also, I would like to give a big thanks to 05StangGT for providing me with a PIN. It was a very kind gesture of him and it's a great way to be introduced into the Mustang community.

 

Getting it before the new year is probably cutting it close with the
plant shutting down for the holidays.

Ordered it from a dealer in New York and having it drop shipped to where I work in Alabama!

I just called my insurance agent and got a quote of $818.18 for 6 months thru American Family. I pay $642.60 for my 2000 Nissan Maxima with the same coverage, for reference. Thats not bad for a 23 year old with a 28 mph over ticket on his record. I was expecting it to be a lot more.

 

Good choice. I ordered the exact same car except with the Shaker 500 and standard wheels. Ordered on 10/7 and I don't even have a VIN yet so I don't know if I'll even get mine by new year's.

 

How much is the drop shipping going to cost? If my dealer keeps dragging their feet, I may have to find another.

Yeah - black/black here too.

And tinting the windows is going to be the FIRST thing I do - already have a place lined up.

Thing is going to look like a stealth fighter......

Nothing. (except the standard $625 destination fee)
It doesn't matter to Ford where they ship it.
Because of the kind of work we do, we have a Ford drop ship code (as well as Chevy, Dodge, and others)
We get trucks all the time that are for other dealers, but we have to add our equipment to them before they make it to the dealer.
Funny thing is I just thought of it last week. This way, not only am I there when it gets delivered, I'll be the one that signs for it, PDI's it, the whole nine yards.

I hope all of us that have ordered this week will get the entire Interior Upgrade Package, meaning that I hope the MyColor option is available. That has me worried.

 

I hope you get your car before the New Year too..... I ordered mine on November 1st, and was told that it could be as long as 5 months... :notnice: Anyway....Satin Silver on Red Leather (V-8...Automatic...IUP...17" upgrade wheels). I could have had a Torch Red on Red Leather in 2 weeks.....but I opted for 'Classy' over 'Flashy'. BTW.....My dealer confirmed that the Interior Upgrade Pkg. can only be ordered on GT's now. V-6's have to wait. Demand far exceeded supply.......

 

giddyup i dont know where your located but i live in Florida and there is a satin silver GT with red leather automatic ...upgrade wheels at my local dealer.
