New Order

That is my hope, also. Just finished the 13th week of waiting. No second thoughts, but I doubt I will ever order another car as long as I live. I am glad that I didn't pay the $3,500 markup back in December for the black GT I wanted - the early cars seem to be full of problems...

I'm told it will be built, but i have to tell you, as long as it has been, it seems like pure fantasy that it will ever get to my garage. If I could just get out of C / U, I'd feel a heck of a lot better and I'd realize that the car WILL actually show up.

Saturday will mark my 4th week of waiting.....I don't know how some of you do it for 13, 14 weeks; some people have waited for 4+ months! I am not a patient person, and I really want this car, but I think the dealership I went to (who I have bought 2 BRAND new cars from since 1999) is jerking me around. Either they haven't submitted the order yet, or they gave me a pooty priority....but they keep making excuses why they haven't gotten a DORA to me yet. :bang:

How about 22 weeks so far :bang: Imm soooo stressed out now. They still do not have a vin # & build date for me yet. Even though Im a mustang fanatic, I'll never order a car through ford again, what a bunch of ( fill in the blank )'s.

I ordered on February 4th, so tomorrow April Fools Day will be 8 weeks. I ordered a new 1997 truck when the new body style came out, I waited almost 6 monthes for that truck. I still have it has been the best truck I have ever owned. It has 94,000+ miles on it and except for general maintenance items I have put less that 1000.00 (including brakes and tires) in this truck. I also am an a-plan buyer so I don't mind the wait. If Ford gets some of the bugs sorted out before mine is built the wait will be worth it. I hope in the end that this proves for all of us that good things come to those who wait.

I ordered my GT more than 10 weeks ago from a dealer here in upstate NY. Still no build date and spring has arrived! Question - How do some of you get photos of your car coming off the line???

Some of you are lucky ordered mine on 12/24/04 Merry Xmas to me should be built in may for June delevery. Small dealer only sold two mustangs so far. They still have the first gt delevered to them last september. Mineral Gray with parchment a preminum car with an automatic as the only option. At list that car is now $500.00 bucks less because of the price increase.

After my son's baseball practice Saturday night, we saw a Cruise Night / small show gathering in a grocery store parking lot. What do you think we saw: 2 GTs, one that bronze color with Bullits and a very modified black GT. It had IUP, 5-speed. The car has a drag race rear end, Super Lite drag wheels, slicks, a completely different tranny and a supercharger under the hood. Not that that is all bad, but the interior was dirty, there were chips all over the front end and it looked just plain thrashed. I don't believe I'll be mistreating mine once it gets home!

I would like to hear from some of you that have build dates and how long it took to get one. My dealer said to call ford and ford wants the name of the saleman that said that. Nobody wants to help. I know my problem is I'm from Minnesota but when I see a dealer in Florida with 91 Mustangs in stock It makes no sence to me to half to wait so long.

Guys, Ford has messed up badly on the 2005 Mustang. Allocations at each dealer were based on last few years of Mustang sales. In my area ( New England) sales were slow and many 2004's are still on the lots. As you can guess, our area has low allocations. I ordered my GT coupe in early January and still no build date. Dealer thinks last shot will be the May pull. Many of you will be told that the dealer will need to reorder as an 06 with a price increase. Of course none of this would be a problem if Ford marketing had realized the new design was a winner. Heads should roll!!

I will wait for one more Ford Thursday build schedule next week. If not scheduled, I'm buying a new 2004 GTO. GM has put a $5,000 dealer rebate plus the $1,000 bonus hot button rebate for total of $6,000 rebate. I qualify for GM X-Plan plus I have $2,000 in GM card earnings. It's almost a no-brainer plus getting the GTO for $21,000 vs $27,500 for the 2005 GT.

I will. I ordered through a military program, and everybody else who has orderd from them has been extremely happy about them keeping their delivery dates. He was the first to tell me Ford was not taking anymore '05 orders the local dealers were like yea we can order it('05) for you and be here by July. Wish me luck.
