Putting my order in 4 weeks ago today I guess just wasn't in time for me to get my Mustang with IUP before the delays hit. My dealer called me today and said his Ford rep came in and all orders with IUP are on delay... :bang: :bang: :notnice: So now that people are getting their cars left and right, it looks like I will be on delay. Does anyone have the latest news on this problem? What type of timeframe to get cars delivered now? I was really hoping for right before Christmas but it looks like end of January now. Is THIS even realistic?
Welcome to the club. I ordered on October 20 and my car has been on a Temporary Delay in Production since at least November 4th.

I placed my order 2 weeks ago. My dealer told me mid January -- that's the best I can hope for =( All because of the IUP hold...

What is the deal with IUP? My dealer said he is processing 30% of IUP ordered Mustangs a week. Does that make sense?

I will order a GT Deluxe with Shaker 500, IUP, active anti-thief, side airbags auto tranny tomorrow. Will find out if the IUP is still on hold.

The dealer can place your order and have Ford accept the order but that doesn't mean it's going straight to build.
When I ordered my car on October 20 it was processed the same day according to my DORA, but I still don't have a build date (it's been on a Temporary Delay in Production since at least November 4th, which is the day I picked up my DORA).

I ordered an 05 Mustang GT Premium w/ IUP and Spoiler.
When I placed my order I was told I would have the car in 6 weeks, and now it looks like I might have it in January

Thats okay my Accord just got rear ended today pretty good. I'll need more time to sell the car after I get it back from the autobody shop. Ford take all the time you want with mine, use it to get Bob's out first.

B) Well I finally did it! Ordered Gt prem. IUP, spoiler. So guess I'll be riding the same boat with alot of you. Just longer! Dealer said late Feb to middle to late March. But that's the price you pay for living in Hawaii. Hope all of you the best in getting your 05s sooner! Happy Trails!!

Well FWIW, I have a build week of 12/13 and unless the car is put on the train by the end of the day on 12/17, I guess it'll sit there in the lot until January 3rd I'm REALLY hoping that by some miracle it shows up on 12/30 or 12/31 at the dealer.
I realize the plant shuts down over the holidays, but rail and truck delivery doesn't. Unless they run out of rail cars, I would believe they would load all the vehicles before the break.

I decided when I ordered mine to look at it as 12 weeks, then if it came early I'd be thrilled. I knew I was getting inot the holdiay. Maybe with the holiday plant time off the rail deliveries that are behind will catch up!!

Yeah that's true, and I don't want to be a pessimist, but aren't there thousands of finished Stangs sitting in the lot waiting for shipment? I don't see how my car, IF it gets completed by the COB on 12/17, would be put on a carrier to arrive at the dealership by 12/31. And BTW, how many shifts is the plant running now?
