That would be my baby: The plain Jane look. I absolutely love it.

Well the steering wheel IMHO does look a little on the cheap side, but a Shelby wheel, will take care of that.

Not at all. There's a difference between plain talk and turning a blind eye to a car's shortcomings (any car) just because you happen to own one.

What this also means is that under the sun, the shiny chromed surfaces will have a much higher exterior temperature than a darker matte surface. The shiny surface reflects radiation (to your skin upon contact) while the darker/non-reflective surface absorbs and transmits radiation (absorbed and dissipated).

Whenever I touch shiny chromed surfaces under the sun in the summer, it feels like my skin is burning. The black plastic surfaces or darker matte surfaces do not get as hot to the touch.
Correct, sort of. 1 piece of aluminum and 1 piece of cloth at the same temperature will FEEL different. at 150F, you can touch the cloth for a long period and not burn your hand. At the same temp, you can only touch the aluminum for a second before burning your hand. The chrome accents are the same temp. as the rest of the interior, but they FEEL hotter. The chrome TRANSMITS heat faster, whereas the plastic stuff is an insulator. This is why pot holders work.

My whole point with the heat issue is that it is so hot here that ANY interior surface will burn you, except for cloth seats (which I personally cannot stand)

I have tint. Sometimes you can't park in the shade. I'm not complaining about it though.Just commenting on the "chrome making it too hot inside" comment. I use a car cover at work if I even drive it there. If not raining,I usually drive my bike

Cool, I'll summarize - Some people love the interior, others don't love it, but like it enough that they bought the car anyways - and now that that's done, we can talk about bikes instead! The chrome gauges are easy to read on this.

06, but I've done quite a lot to it. You won't find another like it (and very few as fast!)

I was looking at 993 and 996 Porsche 911's about 2 years ago and let me say that those cars were about $80K range and this Mustang interior is SO much nicer!!!!!

thanks all !
I saw a Porsche 911 the other day, probably a 1-2 year old model. The light lenses were all yellow from the sun... My 2 year old Mustang is like new inside out, including the lenses, in spite of Florida sun.
Sad to say, but all German cars are over-rated in my opinion.
$90K for a car that can't last 2 years as far as lenses go. Replacement lenses are probably outrageously expensive too. That's just pathetic if you ask me.
Go Mustang!
