Well I did not think I was going to get one this soon but my ford dealer called to let me know he had this one in stock. I showed up on Saturday and I just knew I had to have it. Here are a few pics. I could not be happier.

I've been so jealous!!
It's GREAT to be 30 again. It seems as though I've been following this thread for ever but the Silver Bullet is finally here. Picked it up Thursday (12/9) and it's been raining ever since. Had a brief opening without rain so we shot this one real quick.
We ordered on October 18th (sight unseen - except the pictures, of course) much the same way we ordered our '67 2+2 back in October of 1966. I was 29 then . . . you can do the math.
It broke my heart when I had to sell the '67 just a few years ago but I wasn't going to be able to do the kind of restore it deserved so someone else has now taken care of that.
By the way . . . anyone know why they put radios in these cars? Just listening to the exhaust is music in itself.
Thanks to all of you that have posted your pictures, I have totally enjoyed them all! Now I just have to figure out why it seems to take less time to get to work these days.

Congratulations Silver Bullet, You have my car. It is being built this week and I hope to see it by the end of the year. Just 2 weeks ago I called and changed the wheels on the order to the Bullit wheels. It just felt like the right thing to do. After seeing yours, I know I was right on. Just beautiful. Do you plan on adding any stripes in the future.
By the way, my first car was a 67 Fastback back in 1976. I have owned several fastbacks since including a 65 and 66. Always was a Mustang fan but held a sweet spot in my heart for the first 3 years models. Now Ford has produced a car that works for teens and older guys like us.
Congratulations again!!!!

No - no stripes. I like them, however, I think I'll stay as delivered. You're right in changing to the Bullet wheels though. It just seems to be the way it should look.
When ordered the schedule was at 6 - 8 weeks so I just chilled but as it got closer and then when the dealer told me it would be in around the 9th I just lost it. I think I was looking here on this site about every 5 minutes just to stay occupied. Didn't get much work done either. When I got the call, my wife said the smile on my face was worth the cost.
Older guys like us ???? Who's old. This is fantastic! People on the road probably see this 67 year old acting like a 30 year old and just shake their heads.
Interestingly enough, one of our township's finest, in an unmarked car, was following me yesterday and really looking it over. At a stoplight he moved over to turn left and his right side window went down - I just know he was listening to the exhaust when I passed by. Oh the fun of it all.

Congrats Silver Bullet from another second childhood Stanger. I love the bullet wheels and they were my first choice but mine came with the upgrades which are harder to keep clean. Great looking car. I'm on my fourth now a '66 maroon 289 conv, '71 blue 302 conv, '95 blue 3.8 coupe, and the latest addition my '05 yellow GT. The '66 (wish I still had it) was my first car in high school and I graduated in '72. You mentioned "township" are you from PA as well?

Congratulations everyone!
I'll be joining you all soon... ordered mine today (Torch Red, red interior, IUP, etc.).
I was undecided between the torch and the satin silver... but the torch won out in the end.
I'm enjoying seeing everyone's new rides, and can't wait to pick mine up in early February.

Hello all. I have been looking at this website for months now, but this is my first post. I have a 2000 Black Mustang GT now. I have loved all of the pics of yours...especially the Sonic Blue ones. Last night I ordered a Sonic Blue Mustang GT with Dark Charcoal interior with the upgrade package. I got everything except the shaker 1000 and the upgraded wheels. As of right now they are saying it is sceduled to be built on Jan. 17th but it might be later. I can't wait. Just wanted to say I love all of the pics, and I can't wait to get mine. Adrenalin, your mustang looks incredible. I would love to get stripes on mine. You said they are 10 3/4" wide but what is the dim of the space between?

I wish i could go more with a fun color like red or yellow( high profile with the the cops), and even though i have already ordered last week, i am still checking out the different colors i hadn't seen yet...today legend green blew me away, it looked so much different in person, but it was also spotless in a dealers showroom under the lights, whitch also can be deceiving, so far i am staying with my original choice of mineral gray, i cant believe the dealer is giving me a small window to change my color choice......does any body know how much the side airbag option costs?
