Hey, Dan finally got his car! Congrats, man!

It's amazing how much different Redfire looks under different light, isn't it? All you need now are those polished 18" fanblades with some 255/45 tires and you're set.

If I don't wait for the Mach 1, I think I'm also going to chrome my fanblades and paint the mirrors body color on mine, and also maybe drop it a touch, so that it looks exactly this (still my favorite out of everything I've seen):

FINALLY, pictures of mine....... I absolutely love this car.
Hey Dan, It's Dan:

Love that ride. I got the same one. Don't know if you have a finish treatment in mind, but Zaino Bros has an outstanding show car polish kit for about $120 that will knock your socks off. My car looks and feels like glass...

Beautiful philly....

Carful Greg, you don't want anyone messing with your jugs.

Thanks everyone!! It looks even better in person as many of you know. This car has definately surpassed all of my expectations. Its so much fun to drive. Can't wait until spring when I can wax her up.

I did get the IUP and the colour accent package and I will be driving it in the winter.

Actually, those pics were just after I washed down the car to bring it to get rustproofed.

Again, thanks for all the kind words guys, its been a lot of fun over the last while waiting to get our cars. I'm still pretty shocked that its finally here after three years!

Dan

P.S. Robert, definately wanting those 18" fanblades and 255's. I fell in love with the original showcar and that's still where I'm headed.

Dan, I've heard great things about Zaino Brothers and WILL definately try their stuff. Plus, they have a location relatively close to here (40 minutes or so).

Post some pics of your car Zaino'ed up when you have a chance!

HELP!!

Hey everyone I need your opinion please. Well, here is my problem. I pulled into parking lot today and got to close to the concrete thing thats infront of the parking space, whatever you call it, and it got a hold of my bumper and cracked it a bit as you can see in the picture, when I was pulling out. Made me sick to my stomach. I am so upset at myself for being such an idiot. :bang: Now, Ford 1 week ago said that they would repaint the whole bumper, as I had mentioned earlier in a post, due to 2-3 spots where the paint was thin on the front bumper infront of the headlight. If I let them do it, would I ever be able to tell that the bumper has been reapinted? I figured if I let them repaint it as they had said they would they will probably fix the little crack for a minimum cost in comaprison to someone else. I took it to a body shop after the incident and they said they would have to melt the bumper down where the crack is and then repaint that area and then recoat the whole bumper for $350.00 plus tax. What sould I do? Again, if I let them repaint the whole bumper would I be able to tell that the bumper has been repained, if the paint job is good? Your help would be appreciated as I am freaking out on what to do to the fix the crack. :worship:

Thanks!!

Since the car is so new the paint has not faded, so it's fairly easy for them to match it. With a good shop, no you will probably not be able to tell. I've seen cars that have been rear-ended have new metal and plastic put on them and you could never tell it wasn't the same as it was when it rolled off the showroom floor.
