Kind of wish I had ordered Bullits...
i believe that the upgrade/concept/ fanblades ruin the car... it takes away from the mustang feel imo. i need to see some nicely shaped wheels that deserve to be on a stang, not suv like rims. i love the idea of getting wheels of the past and putting a new twist to them, but i think ford should make completely new ones with the idea of mustang in mind.

I still think the best wheels offered on the '05 are the machined V6 wheels with the knock offs (spinners). Those would have been my #1 choice had they been a 17" or 18" wheel on the GT.

I'm gonna have to quit reading these forums every day... called my salesman this morning and asked him to look into dropping the upgraded wheels from my order. (It's currently in "clean and unscheduled" status.) Told him *not* to do it if it cost me my place in line, or if anything else at all about the order (e.g.; the IUP package) would be affected. He called back a couple of hours later; said he talked to his inventory manager who changed my order as requested - said no problem, won't push me to the back of the line or anything. (I guess we'll see!) The more I looked at pictures of the upgraded wheels v. the stock bullitts on the mineral grey, I just couldn't stick with the upgrades.

Extra bonus - Not only did you get the better looking wheel, but saved some dough in the process.. Win-Win situation.
The upgrades look more like downgrades to me. I fell in love with the 18" Fans at the car show. They were on the production car. That is what Ford originally promised but reneged due to "costs". I am going to get those Fans whenever Ford gets around to getting them.
It was a hard decision for me, but I did eventually (today actually...) order my GT with the stock wheels. I will eventually replace the stock wheels with 18x9 and 18x10 wheels, so I couldn't justify spending the money on upgraded factory wheels when it wasn't a clean "MUST HAVE THOSE WHEELS!" type of reaction to the optional wheels.
