Summarized from a trustworthy source:
Ford is running into a shortage of some of the components because their forecasted order rate was not as high as actual (almost 80% of Mustang orders have the IUP). The U.S. may restrict this on V6 models, Canada will not. To help in the short term, the U.S. and Canada are creating another version of the IUP that will help support customers' wants of these interior upgrades.

Hey Brad, does this have anything to do with the "quality" hold. My car was built a long time ago but the dealer said that all of his allotment were in the hold. Just curious as to if this hold is one and the same or the quality hold is something else?

It could be a variety of things,
-underestimated demand
-production issues with suppliers
-quality issues with suppliers.
Just curious as to what the "IUP lite" won't have in it

Sounds like Ford needs to come sit in my Business Statistics class with me so they can get this right.....

One thing I learned in Economics was that when supply is low and demand is high, price is high. I wonder if we'll see an increase in price of the IUP.

Hey Brad, so is this confirmed that the current and future orders of the GT will not be effected by the IUP hold at all.
Sorry for asking this over and over, seems kinda strange that Ford would just stop the package for V6 and not increase the price to cut down the demand.
I guess Ford is taking the best bang for the buck line way to seriously. People who really want the IUP will probably pay close to 800$ for it IMO. I know i would.
