IUP Hold Update
#41
I wonder if they do take whatever the hold up is, will they still charge the same? They didn`t think it was going to be as popular, but yet they made it manditory with other options like the side airbags.

Hey Brad, so is this confirmed that the current and future orders of the GT will not be effected by the IUP hold at all.
Sorry for asking this over and over, seems kinda strange that Ford would just stop the package for V6 and not increase the price to cut down the demand.
I guess Ford is taking the best bang for the buck line way to seriously. People who really want the IUP will probably pay close to 800$ for it IMO. I know i would.

They could axe the IUP combined with beige interior. That looks crappy anyway because the beige and the alu clash imo.

And if you did, oh well

ya know i was thinking( i'm getting desperate seeing how i want a V6 w/ IUP) wouldn't Ford have to come out with an offical statement saying that IUP would no longer be avalible in V6s? And if and when they did wouldn't they be expected to at least fill the orders already filed w/ V6 IUP? that would just seem like the right way to do things... It is THIER fault they miscalculated, not ours so i think if you have already ordered your V6 w/ IUP you should still be able to get it up until they ofically annouce it to the public....just my $.02

So anyone with a 05 V6 with iup will have a rare stang? That would be ok with me but would the new iup apply to the GT or just the V6?I know this is all very fluid at this time and the fact's are not all out yet.
The IUP is the only op I ordered and it seems I get info here before my dealer know's or can say.

Summarized from a trustworthy source:
Ford is running into a shortage of some of the components because their forecasted order rate was not as high as actual (almost 80% of Mustang orders have the IUP). The U.S. may restrict this on V6 models, Canada will not. To help in the short term, the U.S. and Canada are creating another version of the IUP that will help support customers' wants of these interior upgrades

i would understand that the MyColor is a problem but why don't they just add it as another option and just make the IUP without it heck i will still pay for the IUP and the MyColor no matter if it was two or one options

One thing I learned in Economics was that when supply is low and demand is high, price is high. I wonder if we'll see an increase in price of the IUP.

if the MYCOLOR is the problem, and they make an alternative IUP. I think it should look identical, cut the MYCOLOR, and allow the customer to choose what color they want, and knock off $100 from it or something.
FORD,
JUST PRODUCE MY V6 MANUAL WITH IUP!!! SOON!!!
