I think the point is, is that the good salesman MAY not know the most about the cars, but they are good people persons and they are kind. You don't have to throw a bunch of numbers around to sell the car as Kevin said, you just need to be a good salesman, and know your customer.


I could be completely wrong, however. I was going to make a good pint, but I forgot it :bang:

wouldn't you like to buy something from somebody who knows about the product you are purchasing? like if you had questions about the oh, I don't know...Interior Upgrade....The salesman should be able to answer your questions and not just say anything to make you happy. Just my 2 cents

I think you are both right. I believe a good salesperson is a people person, friendly and genuine, and doesn't bore some people with all their knowledge. But they also know the product well enough to answer the questions of a more analytical customer. A good salesman can adapt to both of you.
