Well I have been reading up on this forum and I am finally ready to go and place the order. So what sort of advice do yall have?

I am going to order a black GT deluxe with IUP, spoiler delete, wheel locks, and side airbags only. I already have new rims for it and I plan to get better leather than fords and heated seats. I am also redoing the whole stereo setup so I just need the base GT to start my madness.

The dealer I am going to is one that was charging 2500 over on the 05's and I already told them I wont pay 1 cent over msrp. I got the yes sir we will work with you garble. So I am guessing I will have to pay msrp unless one of you fine people have a extra X plan pin # that you want to let me use I read about a b16 code from ISELLFORDS so I will get them to add that but is there anything else. When do you get dora's (I think thats what its called) and confirmation type stuff. I have never ordered a car before.

Going off the price code list 620 the msrp should be 26,705.00 and that includes the destination fee. What else should I expect for them to add? I will not be financing or paying cash. I have two other cars I am trading in...a 2003 Acura cl-s and a 2001 f-150 lariat 4x4. So they will actually owe me money....ohhh thats going to tick them off LOL! Also I am guessing there should be no sales tax since I am trading in the amount of the vehicle...thats how tax credits work right?? I really hope they don't try to rob me on the trade in values because of this...I know what NADA and KBB say about the amount I should get on trades.

Thanks for any input!! :worship:

You'll make more in private sale of your vehicles than you wil on trade-in.

Remember to use your legs. As in walk out if they talk over MSRP.

You can do better than MSRP on a coupe I bet. Not a verrt probably, but a coupe? Yeah.

What is their allocation and how many orders do they have in front of yours? Be sure to ask. That will give you an idea how long you will sit around "clean/unscheduled".

If you are not happy with the deal, use your legs. Ford will build thousands. Visit another dealer if you have to.

Tell them you expect to get a copy of the DORA. They might not want to because it has invoice pricing on it. If that is the case, let them know you already know the invoice #'s, you want to confirm your order is correct, and you want it for your records.

No signed buyers contract? No guaranteed price.

All the above is only my humble opinion. Good luck and have fun!

Mark, the only way you are going to know if you are truly getting the Mustang at MSRP or below, is if you sell your car & truck and pay cash. They might tell you that you are getting MSRP.....but when it comes to blending in the trade in offsets, they just have way too many numbers games to play, especially when you are talking of trading in 2 vehicles.

Yeah the trade in is what is going to be fun with this deal. I really would rather trade in and get a tax credit of the full car price. I know I can get more in privet sales but thats a pain. And what if I don't sell them by the time the car comes in...then im in trouble. It should be cut n dry really...they agree to give me x amount for car#1 and x amount for #2....take that minus the price of the car and give me the difference in a check. Boy that would bring a big smile to my face

I have a printed copy of the 06 price list with the current 620 price code. They will know I am no ordinary walk in and I already know what the price of the car is at invoice. So if I order tonight I should get the DORA tonight as well? What kind of deposit they looking for...500-1k? I will also be armed with printouts of NADA and KBB showing trade in values I should be getting. Im sure they will go under those #'s but I wont let them go to low...well I will try at least. I need that extra money so I can dump it on mods!!

I already told them I would never pay over msrp for it and I would fly some place else buy it and drive it back so I have no worries about over msrp. I have had 6 new cars and modded them all so I am very comfortable in car dealerships...I usually have come out on top.

A copy of the DORA comes like a couple of days later but you should tell the salesman upfront you want it. He is supposed to fax, e-mail, mail or tell you to come in & get it.

Have fun! Hope all goes smoothly.

Man for real then I am no longer mad the salesguy I was going to see was off today When I found out I wasnt going order it tonight was like, typical :bang:

I didnt know that was possible, but I will sure hold off on ordering and check around now! Is it possible to make a post on here asking who can get that? Things always seem to happen for a reason.....

This could mean more mulah for mods...sweet!

I posted a request on blueoval....man THANK YOU for that link! Now I just have to wait a little longer. But from msrp to invoice is enough for intake, headers, x pipe, and exhaust isn't it. Its like close to 3k.

Someone on here posted a link to a list of x-plan companies. I found one that I know someone that works there. Can I get an x plan pin through that person or do I need to work there? It is my wifes cousin so I dont know if that makes it a family member for me or if that even matters? I really want to order now but I have to try for a pin

Thanks again!
