I'm at 7.75% through my current credit union. It should drop a point or point and a half since I need my dad on the loan for X-Plan purposes.
But hey being 24 with good credit, granted a decent amount, 7.75% isn't too shabby.

I was quoted yesterday 72 months 6.5% through Ford Credit and I have excellent credit. I might try a credit union, does anybody think I can beat Ford credit?

Check your local credit union. Since they are not supposed to be for-profit organizations, usually they have the best rates. If you can't find one, check Penfed (Pentagon Fedral Credit Union.) Though membership is usually for military members, you can get a membership if you make something like a $20 donation to an organization. The info is on their site.
Or check the Credit Union Locator.
Good luck.

4.39% for 60 months through Household Auto Finance. I think I got them from submitting an app at loan.com. They beat my credit union, NFCU, by about .5%.

Never heard you need a co-signer for aloan on a discount like x-plan. I have always used A and or Z-plan from my father and he never co-signed for the discount reasons.

My Father gives out X-plan to friends all the time and he surely is not involved in the signing for that person on title. That dealer doesn't know what he is talking about but for the loan cosigning will be better for you.

Apparently for non-ford employee X-Plan's the plan is available only for the employee and spouse and not their children. So to get X-Plan I need him as a co-signer on the loan and the title for a 6-month period. Or so I was told by the dealership and I confirmed it through fordpartners.com (It may just be title, but with him co-signing the loan it drops my rate )

The dealer DOES know what he is talking about. If you are not eligible for X-Plan, someone must be on the title for at least 6 months who is. There are different types of X-Plan (Ford Partners and Friends and Family) with different sets of rules...
60 MO. @ 4.54%

Well I have to check further into this, but I believe I am eligible for membership with Alliance CU thru my membership with Lifetime Fitness. I checked their website and found that they offer 3.5% up to 72 months.

5.75% for 60 months, but I only had a score of 682 when I did the loan. If I had been over 700, would have knocked it down to 4.9. Not complaining at all though, since my first car was 9.9% for 60 months, but that was when 9.9% was a decent deal
