Hoping someone can give me a solid recommendation on a REPUTABLE dealer in SE Michigan. I would like to find someone that will negotiate on price and not play games when the car comes in. Even on x-plan, financing through the dealership on my 2012 there were some questionable ethics going on. I am all about the salesperson making a fair commission, but not at the expense of screwing me over. Any feedback on positive experience with a new purchase either stock off the lot or ordering would be appreciated. Also, experience with the service department if you have dealt with them would be nice.

I was very happy with Gene Butman ford in ypsi. Mike Pluta was my salesman. Paid x plan, no shenanigans.

For service I like Bob Massey in Howell.

I can highly recommend Atkinson Ford in Belleville. When I was helping my mom buy a new car, we went to Atkinson based on recommendations from people my sister work with at Ford's world headquarters. We passed by nearer Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti dealers to go there. They treated her right, no pressure, gave more than we expected on the trade in, and did not try to sell her add ons. We were buying using X-plan and she paid cash, making the whole transaction easy. Also the one time her car needed service and needed to be left, they drove her home and picked her up when it was ready. Considering the distance, it was more than most dealers would do.

 

I've had a great experience with Northgate Ford in Port Huron, both buying and service.

 

I have bought and leased a vehicle from Pat Milliken in Redford with different sales people and had a good experience. Have never had a need to use their service department

 

My step-father sells at Jack Demmer in Wayne, my mother works at Atchinson in Belleville. Both of them will take great care of you, no jerking around.
