I was quoted yesterday 72 months 6.5% through Ford Credit and I have excellent credit. I might try a credit union, does anybody think I can beat Ford credit?

My Father gives out X-plan to friends all the time and he surely is not involved in the signing for that person on title. That dealer doesn't know what he is talking about but for the loan cosigning will be better for you.

The dealer DOES know what he is talking about. If you are not eligible for X-Plan, someone must be on the title for at least 6 months who is. There are different types of X-Plan (Ford Partners and Friends and Family) with different sets of rules...

5.75% for 60 months, but I only had a score of 682 when I did the loan. If I had been over 700, would have knocked it down to 4.9. Not complaining at all though, since my first car was 9.9% for 60 months, but that was when 9.9% was a decent deal
