I got it when I bought the car. Figured it was just easier to have it all rolled up into one $$ amount. Im 54 and have no intentions of selling this Mustang unless I get to the point I cant drive any more. But then one of my 2 sons will prob fight over it.

 

I normally don't get one...but after haggling down $400 from his original price, I went ahead and got the 5yr/100K package from Ford. This will be my first extended warranty on anything.

 

No way. I have never ended up using an extended warranty. As far as my Mustang goes, I can hardly wait for the standard warranty to run out so I can do some performance modding! Yeah, I know, I could do them now, but since I do have an intact warranty, it seems silly to throw it away. I need to find a more understanding dealer. :nono:

 

I got the 5 year/75,000 miles xetended warranty although I'm thinking of cancelling it since I want to do some modding and also lower my payments slightly. It's adding 1700 dollars to my overall costs so I think it would be good to cut it loose, save the cash and go ahead and add an intake and tune!

 

I will most likely get one when I buy my next mustang. I have had a bit of bad luck with trannies from Ford. My 90 Ranger broke about 96,000 and my 97 Mustang GT startedto have issues at about 40,000 finally crapping out at just over 100,000. My Ranger is still going with a bad main bearing with 200,000 + on it. Both were 5 speed manuals.

 

I got it. I think mine is a 7/75K one. that way it's still covered after its paid off. Plus, it being a new car from the drawing board, figured it might be good to have it. Plus, I'm really sick of working on cars! I'm even taking the Mustang into the dealer for oil changes now!

I also have known too many people that have had problems with ford transmissions, so I got it for that too.


And is it just me, or are there no options on the poll?

Same for me and if I do up grade I believe it was trasferrable , I do like every or any problem just take it in , its just all that time it takes when you do . Keep a log book and track it ! you'll be surprised.
