Remember folks it was just Christmas, and the TAX man is waiting around the corner ,a few more weeks and all those V6's will find new homes. Ford pays those bean counters a lot of money to get the ratio of "need" shall we say, for each model pretty close to correct. They missed the mark on the initial public demand for the GT that is true, but in the long run it will all settle out to just what the bean counters crystal ball had predicted. As far as stock goes, I think that will even out also, here in the southeast some dealers have a lot and others have a few, it may be the dealers that have gotten the initial demand wrong, so now they are trying to fix it by cutting their profit margin. Give it few months and all will be right with the Mustang world.

As I said on the other thread, it won't be long before we see rebates or other incentives like low APRs on the V6s.
I got 3.75% on my GT going through the dealer.

I think ford was expecting to sell way more v6's, and way less GT's like they have every year in the past. Seems like even people who don't regularly care about power/speed are going for the GT with this model.

More dealerships in San Antonio offering discounts on V-6s. Since this is a regional thing, I will put the details in the Southwest forum area.
