Build Week of April 11th?
#162
Stopped by my dealers tonight and the owner said that he has a revised eta. Now they are saying April 26th! I called the ERL and she said that as of April 15th it had shipped via rail. I'm getting alittle excited!

Yo Chris!!! Thanks man! Good luck to you as well... you're GT is gonna rock! Wish I had the V8 (my next car!!!)... dude, you were totally right about the dark charcoal interior versus the parchment... the dealer had another legend lime in (and he of course was featuring it at his front entranceway) with the parchment interior... to me the parchment totally washed with the exterior... the dark charcoal 'pops' against the legend lime... was funny when I found my car on lot... some other people were practically drooling on it... that legend lime grabs some eyes!
Ok... i gotta post one more pic!!! I can't help myself...
Now I need to wait a week or two for it to warm up around here so that I can apply some Zaino and keep that paint protected...

You got that right, Craig. The Legend Lime sure does turn some heads. I agonized over every available color before deciding on the green. I just couldn't get my eyes off of it. I knew I was hooked.
GOOD NEWS: I just called the ERL and she said "As of April 21st, your unit has arrived at the ramp." I think that's promising. From what I understand, it's on the final leg of it's journey to me...
I'm pumped!

I called the ERL after my car came in just to hear that. You should get your car Monday or Tuesday. The trucks seem to be MUCH faster than the trains. Go figure.

I would go with what the ERL said.

As you can see by my signature I ordered my car on October 20 and got my DORA and VIN on November 4. When I looked at the DORA my order was a Priority 20, and when I asked the salesman about that he said 'don't worry about the priority number since your car is being built as of October 27'.
Since I knew about all the problems with the IUP and Spoilers from this site I decided to come home and call Ford Customer Service (NOT ERL) to check on the order and I was told 'NO your car isn't being built, it's on a Temporary Delay in Production'.
My car stayed in that status until early December when the status changed and I got a build date (see dates in signature)

Mike is right; from what I've been told, the "ramp" is a depot where the cars await final shipment to local dealerships. My guess is it's where the train dropped them off.
A quick overview of my status:
Convoy Carrier
Rail Carrier
Ramp
The next message may say "Convoy Carrier" again, presumably meaning the car is being loaded onto a car carrier and heading for the dealership.
There is a large car-rail depot 30 miles south of Richmond, in Petersburg. I have seen many of those car-carrier train cars parked in a huge yard within that facility. I suspect my car is there and will soon be delivered to me in Richmond.
My dealership is open today, and they say they get deliveries every day. Unfortunately, my credit union is closed until 9 am Monday! I'm expecting to take delivery over the next couple of days...

Hey Chris - if it was me, I'd be sorely tempted to take a drive by the train yard! Of course, since you sold your Audi you may have to hitchike. I think tomorrow is your day for sure!!!

GREAT IDEA, Tom!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think THIS is the "ramp." It is (one of several) rail yards that deliver cars to carriers, intended for the final leg of their trek to local dealerships. I took this photo today near Petersburg, Virginia, about 30 miles south of Richmond.
I think my car might be down there!
