Build Week of April 11th?

Only 13 weeks for me, and now as of April 16th, I am shipped via convoy!!! 
Problem is, I will not have a place to put it for 4 weeks. 
Not sure what I'm going to do, I need to borrow a driveway or something. Crap, need to buy a cover too.
I WISH I could get 6%, I'll be happy with %7. Best I got before was %8.45. :notnice: Oh well, small loan, and I'll pay it off quick.
I've made it a personal rule to never buy another extended warrantee. Never used one. I don't plan on driving the car more than 5000-7000 miles a year anyway, so there shouldn't be too much to go wrong with it in the first 10 years. (fingers crossed)

I'm calling my salesman in a couple days to lay down some rules. I may get it undercoated, but I'll either do it myself, or shop around for somebody who I can really trust to do a good job. No point in doing it if they aren't going to cover every inch.
Now if my Taurus would just stop falling apart this month . . .

Riddle me this.
The ERL says my car has been shipped to Convoy.
The dealer called last night and said my build was delayed a week and actually supposed to be built this week.
Is someone smoking crack pot? Anyone have a clue what is going on here.

I'd go to the dealership and ask to speak with the sales manager. People will be less likely to jerk your chain in person than over the phone. You can read their body language and see if they're being dishonest. Problem is, the most experienced dealer can lie with such ease and conviction that it would be hard to tell if they're snowing you. I think many dealers get a lot of practice telling fibs. Over time, it gets a lot easier to lie, even if it's just a lie of convenience.
See if the manager can show you their daily status reports. I saw mine yesterday and there's nothing quite like seeing your order number with the word "BUCKED" next to it. My dealer said the car is expected to arrive April 30th, possibly sooner. Sweet!

My car was shipped April 12th. It arrived April 15th in the afternoon and my dealer is 3 hours away from the plant.

Wahooo... my dealer confirmed today that the car arrives next week... course would be nice to know what day... wonder what the usually prep time is after they get it??? Hopefully no more than a day...

Hey fellas, for the sake of posterity, I'd like to mention that I called the ERL and she said "As of April 17th, your vehicle has been shipped via rail carrier."

My dealer told me it was to be built the week of April 11 and said ETA was May 1. That sounds a little optimistic to me.
