So I stopped in this weekend to bug my dealer. Its been over 5 months since the initial order, and 2 months since reentering my order as a 2006 and i have "atleast 6 guys ahead of me" to quote the dealler. He would not give me any details on allotment "we just get whatever leakes out" but they are one of the largest dealers in central Jersey. Anyone have possible Ideas on how long its gong to be? I am throwing a guess in there of 3 months at best? how does that sound?

Thanks in advance for the help, as this will help with planning on when to sell my Jeep.

There is no way of giving an educated guess. When a dealer responds to a question about allocation with "Whatever leaks out", I would be upset. So he is telling you that he had 6 other people who ordered 05's ahead of you that he carried over? How many Mustangs has he already been allocated and scheduled?
These are questions you should ask and if you do not get a good answer, look for another dealer.

I would look for a different dealler but at this point after waiting so long getting back into the back of a line? I dont know I do have X-Plan and this is the largest dealer around(Malouf ford on RT 1). Its tough I have been waiting so long its killing me. And really the wait at a new dealership wouldnt save me much would it? I know I sound beaten by the system but I really just want my mustang already

[edit] god I sound like a little girl in that post... but it really shows how disgruntled I am with the entire process. Every dealer around here that i went to while shopping around ( and I went to 18 different ones from north jersey and Central Jersey) was giving me lines of BS that I thankfully knew was BS because of this board. This was the first dealer that was straight up about most things and would accept X-plan[/edit]

Not saying it would save you anything but time. perhaps the other dealer has full MSRP paying customers ahead of you and that is why you never got scheduled.

Check my signature. Mine was re-ordered a couple of months ago as an 06. I'm still waiting as well, although I am supposedly at the front of the line, priority 12. I have Z plan.

I think I am going to order at another dealership just to see what happens. I'll just cancel one of the orders when the other one gets pulled.

I have put calls in to Detroit-area dealerships because I thought they would have more allocation, but they say there are waiting lists as well. I can't stand the waiting either, I've just about given up honestly.

Don't be fooled that they are an honest dealer accepting X-plan. I also ordered a car from them back in January under X-Plan. Found out I was a low priority (20) and they placed all retail and MSRP or higher $ orders ahead of mine.

Did you notice that right now they have 2 GT's on their lot (saw this yesterday). Ask yourself how come they have these as retail sales and you still are waiting 7 months ???

I suggest you run as fast as you can away from these guys and hook up with a honest dealer if you want a car ( I assume we are talking GT here).

They also used the same line of 6 guys in front of me (exact same number). Well I was able to get them to refund my deposit and the sales manager was civil but the sales rep was a horses butt and would not provide any assistance when I asked him when I was going to see my car ( Initially I was told 6-8 weeks . Did they use that line on you).

Sales rep also stated when car did not arrive in 8 weeks "What do you expect you are on the X-Plan" and then had no idea if/when car would arrive. I finally realized from hearing of others with the same experience on this board that I would never see the car or would be like you and have them still jerking my chain.

There are honest dealers in central NJ and I was lucky to find a GT in stock at MSRP at another larger Central NJ dealer on Route #130.

Take Ed's advice and go to a another dealer.

Good luck as I feel your pain as having gone through the same issues with the same clowns. Hope you find you car at a upfront dealer soon.

My Priority is 13 right now and they were honest that it would take more then 3-4 months right from the start. you are right they are some weird characters there. the GTs out front have been there for a while I dont know what the deal is but they are not even listed on the web so I dont know if they are sold already or what. I should ask.... As far as i know i went to 8 dealers in a 10-15 mile radius of my place(Plainsboro , nj) and none would take anything less then 2-3 over MSRP(now this is back in February, early March) they would say they are doing me a favor by ordering it for me at all.

So with all that aside if anyone has knowledge of something that looks like the car in my sig I am willing to drive to it at MSRP at this point. Or if anyone knows honest dealers around me that would be greatly appreciated.

Go to another dealer. Then check your order status with your VOC and the phone number in my signature.

Priority 13 isnt bad, I would think you would see it in 2-3 months.
14 here, I was told around December.
I dont think they will screw me around for X plan. We shall see.
They stand to lose alot of mine and 4 other of our stores business if they screw me over!
