Why do they crush the pre-production cars? Wouldn't it make sense to sell them instead? *shrugs*
One would think, if anything, that they could just disassemble them and use parts for either production versions or future prototypes. If anything, they should get it to the point where they can recycle all the metal etc instead of just crushing it all and leaving it to sit on some junkyard.

One thing I just remembered about the headlights. I asked about HIDs and he said they tried it, but went with these because the design is very modular and was simple to integrate into the car with few problems. He noted this was good because the light assemblies can easily pop out and aftermarket goodies can easily slide in.

One question Dustin, You said "It is a Full Size Larger than a 65", how does it compare to a 69/70?
I said that? Where? What do you mean?
I Swear I saw it at the bottom of one of your posts. I mean how does it compare in size? I know it is larger than a 64-66 and looks about the size of a 69-70. I thought there were several older Stangs around the 05 so I fuigure you would be able to give us a relationship as to the size of the 05 compared to the Classic Stangs.

someone please tell me dave can answer his email on the road so i can get a look at the 05. I hadn't heard about the tour and they were here in orlando two days and i missed it. I hope to catch them on the way back down. Just out of curiosity is the 05 trailered or driven because I assume its a test car from the Ft. Lauderdale testing facility

it'll sound even better with a load on the motor!
From my experience, that load makes it sound 2x as good.

I'm trying to access the video/sound clip through mirrors 1 and 2. It just won't load for some reason.

Or keep them for show somewhere. Well, thanks to Dustin for all the hard work he has done for us and everyone else who has given us info from this show! B)

BTW: Where the H has Dan been?
I'M BACK!!!!

I was very busy the last two days.

I don't know where to start?!?!?!?!?!?!

Firstly, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be one of the best threads ever.

Dunstin, thanks for all of this. I'm sure it was a lot of work to put up the pics/video. I'm extremely happy that you seemed to remember to ask all the right questions (including the SE.......Man, now I'm confused and excited).

Your answered everyone's posts and did a truely amazing job!!!

Many of these questions were unanswered for a long time.

Also, some of the explainations about WHY ford did what they did were EXTREMELY interesting.

Anyway, I'm SO excited by all of this!! I feel like I did when the car was first shown.

Thank you for everything!

Dan

....also...

300hp seriously under-rated!!! Awesome.

SE -> I can only imagine what that is. I have a feeling they might be bringing one out because the Cobra was delayed.

All the comments about headroom, legroom is so very welcome as I have a problem with both on most cars. Even the current stang is a bit too tight for my liking.

Comments about ride height confirm what I saw at the T.O. autoshow. Perfect IMO.

The video clip is more than my heart can handle. It gets the blood pumping. This thing sounds incredible. I really sounds like it has an aftermarket exhaust.

.....Great, now I'm never going to be able to go to sleep........

Can't sleep? Just keep reading this thread over and over.

Watching the video won't make you sleepy, and I have the 30 second unedited version!

Could be because I'm over the download limit with my ISP?

Now that I think about it, I wish I had taken video of when I was stitting in the seat starting it and revving the engine. That old timer was way too gentle on the gas pedal. Oh well, in 6 months it won't matter anyways.
