I was Gleaning for some New 07 Info and Stumbled on to this Juicy tidbit! This is all I have at the moment. The 08 Mustang will offer The 4.6L DOHC Engine as Used in the Current Lincoln Aviator. This Engine in the Lincoln Boasts 302hp and 300ft lbs of torque. I would think it's output would be increased in the Stang!
[attachmentid=37631]

Expect something like this!

Enjoy!

How different is the engine? Would be amazed that they would change the plant too drastically in the 4th model year. Of course either way I would expect a HP boost.

Is this an SE engine? Or a GT option? Sounds like the Mach motor?! (Which is basically the Aviator motor . .different intakes).

More Hp than torque? Isn't the current engine rated at 300 hp and 320 lbs of tq? I'm not expert on engines but it sounds weaker than the current engine.

Great find but like Jason I wonder if this is an SE engine or an improved GT engine? I would guess Mach I as well...

302 in the Boss isn't indicative of the HP.

But, its possible the 4V motor will be used in a SE of some sort.

Is it not the 03/04 Mach1 engine?

Maybe in the GT... massaged to 325hp
I can see that...but use the 5.4 in a special edition.

the 4v in the GT would be nice.
But can it still produce that power running 87?

Wow.

I would have to bet they use it in an SE.

All the work that went into the 3V, only to use it for 2 years? Doesn't sound likely.

The Aviator currently uses premium fuel. I don't think they would tune it to use 87

hrm...
Then hope they would have massaged the engine nicely to make at least 350hp

See, eventually the GT will have to get a power bump, and I'm sure ford has a LOT up their sleeve with the 3v still....
