I received a build date of 8 Aug 06 for my new V6 Pony. If I remember, that date is the date of Job One.

Also have the VIN. Wonder when I will get delivery???

I haven't even got my DORA yet. I'm already feeling the pain of waiting. I so want my new car now!

 

If you ordered on 7/15, dealer should have your dora by now.

 

As you are the one who first told us about the complete Pony package (as opposed to just the new grill) it is fitting you should get the 1st one amongst us here.

However, I am still very jealous. My Pony is still C/U

No delays that i know of.

Changed the avatar to the new LCF that is coming out. Should see my 1st one any day now as it is at the body company haveing a box put on it.
Can't wait to tool around in that V-6 powerstroke with twin turbo's.

I had an 05 gt coming but got bumped to 06' and then i gave her my order in july and still havnt received my dora or vin yet...she said that i should hear something tomorrow but im still gettin nervous...

Incidentally, in case anybody wonders what the pic is on my avatar, it is the 70's Funny Car known as "Frantic Ford." I believe it actually had a Mopar mill.

 

Call your dealer and start harrasing for the DORA, the people who have build dates, proably had dealers that got to order as soon as the banks opened. My dealer originall ordered mine as a 05 at the start of june, I did not hear anything for a few weeks, and then called, he then told me that the books are closed. He said he would reorder when the books opened for the 06's in late july. because of the information I got on this site and others I called back on July 7th and told him of other people getting DORA's and getting build dates. He said he would look into it. 10 minutes later, he calls back and asked if there was any changes I would like to make to my order, and sent it into ford. I waited till last week to pick up My DORA, even though I have had all my information for Robot lady since the 7th. Be presistent with the dealer, but not annoying. I am dealing with someone from the internet dept who is giving me A plan. With as many issues as we are having just finding out what wheels are what, maybe dealers are getting different information about when to order also. Since Job 1 is just a few weeks away, all dealerships should be able to get your DORA by now if they ordered it. Call back with information from this site as to where to look.

Easy - I was set on a V6 from the start, but was looking for a way to NOT have one that looked like the Hertz car I rented. Ever since that 1st grill shot, I have been scouring this site for more Pony info.
