...playing the song "baby im ready to go" by republica. the reason why im playing this song is because i went on top thrill dragster in cedar point (worlds tallest and fastest roller coaster) it went 0-120 in 4 seconds and everytime i hear that song it makes me wanna go faster...
Haha! That's pretty funny cause I'm gonna put my Xcelerator (TTD's little sister) licence plate frame on the car. Never thought I'd see someone talkin about my baby on a Mustang site. Was she good for you?

Anywho, I don't think I'll listen to anything but the car on that first drive home. Then I'll get busy putting my Infinity stereo in. THEN I'll listen to Pink Floyd's "Money" cause for the next couple years I won't have any

the second song would be White Zombie's Black Sunshine
Exactly.. Notice my signature. Only this will be my first song (eventhough my car will be red and not black)

When I bought my Cobra. As I pulled out of the dealership. Turned on the radio for the first time. Bad to the Bone was just starting. I fond it rather amusing. So I laiod down a nice patch of rubber at the end of the dealer's driveway.

For this 05. I will do the same thing. Just turn on the radio and see what is the first song that comes on.

When I get my '05 I'll take a drive around the Palos Verdes Peninsula near L.A. It has lots of hills and curves, along with a great ocean view. I'll have either "Hotel California" or "Back n' Black" in the CD player.
and how about cruizin PCH to malibu? That'd rock too!

Since this will be my first mustang (10th anniversary year of wanting one very very badly), I will probably spontaneously bust upon sitting in the driver's seat. I'm sure everyone who knows me will simultaneously breathe a sigh of relief at the same time! Then I'll probably drive around for hours - there is a great extremely windy back road outside of Athens I want to drive. I'm currently getting my garage ready - painting the walls red, white trim, and will redo the floor with a grey epoxy. Also, I'm collecting tin signs to put around the garage!

Man - this is a great thread. So many ideas......

I'll be working on a MP3 disc and will let Rhonda (the cars name) decide what she wants to play. So far we have some Hagar, Metallica, AC/DC, Dope, Disturbed, Black Crowes, Mellencamp, Nickelback, Maiden and Def Leppard on it......more to come.

I'll be picking it up in Tampa. Gonna take the wife and her SUV home, put her safely in the passenger seat and head North on 75 to Sumter County. Lots of back country roads there that I grew up on and still know like the back of my hand 20 years later. Places to open it up and just have a good time.

Then take it home and clean/wax it up over a few cold ones in the evening before putting it to bed.

Pick up date has been moved to Dec 17 because of some flight back to the states issues for me leaving Greenland..........ugh - still 4 months to wait!!!

Heck, I bought the discs. If you like it, you should buy it and rip your own copies, not just leech off the rest of us who pay.

I was about to go on a bit of a tangent here, but it's off topic (this is a Mustang forum, not a leech-warez-music-swapping forum)

Must again break in and say how all of your ideas are so neat to hear.

I'm definitely changing my plans as I read through all these posts, but until my new ride arrives, I'll keep watching the Redfire 2005 drive around in that Fresh Gear video.

I swear, it's the best video someone here posted... watching it over and over while pretending to be in it!

I think I mentioned this before, but some may have not been around for it.....

Think to Saturn the way they 'initiate you' when you get one (i've heard the stories).
Its in the showroom under a banner, all the salespeople surround the car, and clap and cheer as you start the car up and drive away.
Thers a rearview mirror dangly that says 'its a good day to be <yourname>'

If Ford did that, with the mustangs....
I'd crank it up, rev the kaka outa it.....
drop the hammer and paint 2 black stripes on their floor + kill every mosquito and bug in the joint....
'not again...sold another mustang?'

I think there should be a 2005 TMS get together sometime within 2 years of launch....maybe on its birthday or something.
That would be pretty cool
I agree, that would be cool. I like the two year wait as well as I won't be able to get mine till next summer. But hey, that's going to be a heck of a summer!
I think when I get it I'm going to have to show it off to my old friends (and enemies ) and blare Born to be Wild on the Shaker 1000. Oh Yeah. B)

I'll go get it at the dealer,
increase my heartrate with 50 beat/min. while seeing it,
get in,
hear the "dealerwisdom" about the buttons & stuff,
grab on to the wheel like it were Chasey Lain's *****,
start the engine,
listening and letting the first shiver roll off my spine,
carefully drive it off the lot,
gently revving it and gently driving,
coming home, sit there for an hour looking at it,
smelling it,
hearing it,
reading the whole manual,
do a burnout on my parkinglot,
getting out right after it and enjoying the smoke,
put a polishing rag in it for all times,
put on the following cd

drive it for a few hours in small distances from my home base,
heading for the nearest Ricerville,
trow hot blondes in the passenger seat,
opening the hood for all my buddies,
driving till dusk,
coming home,
sleep in the car.
