When you buy a new car, do you do anything special on the first day or go to a certain place and show it off immediately? Do you have an inaugural song to play on the CD player? I find this stuff fascinating, so go wild and say what you do, even if everyone does find it odd, lol...

By the way, I haven't yet chosen a song, but I know I am parking both of my Mustangs with the fronts facing the street from my driveway -- this way, all the neigboroons can pass and see TWO Pony logos hitting them updside the head

When I bought my Mustang, I had to drive it back 100miles home. I had brought some CD's with me and put the first one in. As I lowered the roof for the first time, the Stereo started playing "Sweet Home Alabama", I have always loved that song, and it really fitted when I buried the throttle and shot off for the first time!

So I think that when I get my '06 / '07 'vert, that will be the very first song again!

I usually go home and clean the car the way I like it done. The dealership make ready guys always screw up, putting tire goo shine all over the place. By the time you get home, that goo shine is all over the wheels, the side of the car, and the inner fender wells (perfect goo for collecting dirt). I have to wash that crap off, plus the plastic doesn't get completely removed from the inside and outside of the car.

Hopefully I won't follow in my step-dad's footsteps. He turn out of the dealer with his 67 Mustang and buried it. About a mile down the road he got a ticket.

The fisrt new car I bought was a 1998 Exploer Sport in Autum Orange (sweet color might I add.) The first day I had it I went back to my old town and showed off to all the kids I hated I went to school. I think I might do the same with the new stang. I liked the look of awwww on all there faces.

The inagural wash....of course AFTER taking the long road home ( to get aquainted with the new baby )

I've heard stories of guys getting tickets while bringing the car home, and some get out of it by saying its brand new straight from the dealership, with papers and everything...
...if the cop is nice, sometimes they'll let you off.

I'm gonna do with what I did with my Lincoln. Wax that baby up. Then stop by everyone of my friends houses and show it off.

Oh, and the other thing is, I drive straight to my garage and start putting on a custom stripe kit so mine doesn't look like all of the other ones driving around.

Well the first song on the radio will have to be Van Halin Runnin' With The Devil.
Thats a good song to break a car in with I think. I'll try not to get a ticket for speeding, but it will be hard.
Then go to the house and take some pics of the 05 with my 67 fastback in the driveway.
Then go for a cruise and stop by to see all of my friends and give them a ride.
Sounds like a pretty good day.
