Clutch Kit Recommendation
#1
Hey all. I have an 02' GT with minor work done... Pretty much every bolt on you can think of. I have plans to install .410 gears and possibly nitrous. I burned out my clutch doing donuts (dumb but fun) and am ready to purchase a new clutch and flywheel right now. I'm debating if I should go with a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch or a Spec Stage II + . I'm not a huge fan of heavy clutches... And I want to make sure I get the best bang for my buck.... Something that will last me a while (I'll chill out on the 2nd gear donuts). I plan on buying a Fidanza Aluminum Fly wheel, Ford Racing throw out bearing, and an Ford Racing pilot bushing.
Please give any thoughts or experiences you may have on any of this. Thanks!

I went with the Centerforce clutch and Fidanza aluminum flywheel. I also will use the ford racing Throwout and pilot bearings. Thanks for all the feedback. I'll let ya guys know how it turns out.

Installation went smoothly. So far I give two thumbs up! Minimal chattering... The clutch is light, smooth, and seems to grab effectively (during normal driving). Not sure of the aluminum flywheel results yet. I am waiting for the 500 mile break-in point to give her hell. I'm expecting to lose a little bottom-end torque when launching... But am hoping the rpm upper-end reaction will make up for it while moving through the gears. If I feel too much has been lost on the launch... I'll throw in 3.90 gears!

Clutch is broken in... Gave her some hell. The clutch grabs beautifully and the pedal is crazy light! The flywheel definitely affects my launch and requires me to give more RPMs to make up for the loss in initial torque. For now... I will launch at higher RPMs ... But I definitely am going to look into installing 4.10 or 3.90 gears.
