Nope, I went to a 65(i think) 8" rear end. From the transmission back is all V8 parts. We threw out the old rear end a couple weeks after we swapped it out last summer.

Mine was a direct bolt in except for the driveshaft and the emergency brake cables. We just cut the cables so I don't run an emergency brake. Then my driveshaft u-joint was too small for the rear end, so I spend $100 to get the correct yoke and u-joint put on. So when I went to T5 transmission I was able to use a V8 driveshaft which has the correct u-joint so no modding necessary.

The 8" is the back one and I want to say due to the year I got it was 1 or 2 inches narrower than the old 7.25 or 7.5 rear end. Driveshaft I have was shorter than my original, but its almost too short.
Its my DD except for when there are icy conditions or snow on the ground. Id say we could meet up sometime, but a lift would be needed to really see under the car well enough.

I really want to repaint my car right about now. I looked today and found at least 4 cracks in my paint.
If my parents would let me I'd have my car soda blasted and repainted, but this time paint it myself.

It's hard not to worry about them, maybe they can be spot fixed, the guy that painted it can't fix it? It seems like it wouldn't be too hard or expensive.
Thats good, I wanted a turn signal hood also but I believe I'm getting a shaker hood when I get the crate motor. It will be awhile and will probably change my mind several times by then.
