How much HP do you think you will have after you put the turbo on?

After I buy that I need new fuel lines, new fuel pump, o2 sensor, exhaust, wideband gauge, boost gauge, gauge pod, and maybe more. Thats at least another $400, but will be well worth it.

what kind of turbo setup are you getting? I saw your posts in that thread from the SVO/turbo4 thats getting parted out..

is there a relatively simple way you're rigging all this up?

I'll be using the SVO/turbo coupe turbo parts. I just need the turbo, wastegate, BOV, carb hat, and a couple other things off of it.

Run a J-pipe off of the exhaust manifold and put the turbo adapter on that. Bolt turbo up, run piping around some and then to the carb hat. Then get an o2 bung installed on the downpipe so I can run a wideband. Use a T piece to run a oiling system off of the pressure sensor. ect.

Here is a good thread about it.

If he can't part out the turbo stuff I will order my header.

How much horse power do you think that engine will have after the turbo is installed?

I'm hoping at least 200. I read on a 6cyl forum that a guy was getting around 290 with like 10psi, but I don't know what mods he had.

how many miles are on your motor?

also, as soon as you get past 5-6psi you should probably upgrade to a carb meant for boost. make sure you get cooler spark plugs too. another thing that will lower your risk of detonation is running an intercooler, which wouldnt be a bad idea.

I want to say there is maybe 20,000 on the rebuild. It was rebuilt in 05 and was also bored .040 over.

I'm going to upgrade my carb float so I can keep the current carb. I'll be running maybe 8 psi, I'm not 100% sure. My carb already runs rich to so I don't think I will have to tune it for the boost. I actually just bought spark plugs last week. Guess I need to check and see if I can use them with boost.

I hadn't planned on running an intercooler due to the low amount of boost, but if I can find one I will add it.

Posted this on another forum and a guy told me that I don't need a new fuel pump. The stock mechanical pump will work. All I have to do is modify it for boost preferenced. That helps the price out some. That fuel pump was over $100 and then the line would have been another $50 or so.

I'll run it as a billet grille

I would have to run it behind the grille. I don't want to cut up my stock valance, but running it there might restrict air to radiator. So we will see.

I'm so ready to buy the parts too! Shouldn't take but maybe another week to do. After I get the parts I'll order my gauge pod and might go buy the gauges.

Well no turbo stuff. So I will be ordering my header hopefully tomorrow.

Going to order a black dual outlet header and port divider. Should give me some decent power gains and sound. Also going to be using Thrush Turbo mufflers. I have 1 on there now temporarily since I cut up my old exhaust and it sounds really good.

Guessing the total for headers, mufflers, and port divider to be around $340. Then around another $200 to get the exhaust run which I will try and get done next weekend.

Well everything shipped today but my header.

It is on backorder.

I'm trying to find out how long, because I need it before next weekend.
